Saffex I warned you that this younster was not ready to play international rugby and Meyer has clearly summed up the situation. Imagine ou snasper thinking Kolisi is better than a fit and on form Burger!! Snapster is smoking some heavy dope for sure!

Both Kolisi and Daniel are given as weighing around 100 kg although to be honest I doubt daniels is 100 kg. Daniels has been kept on and I can only imagine that Meyer thinks he could have an impact player role to play?

De Jong was perhaps a tad unlucky to be dropped (That said Jordaan should have been selected before De Jong).  JJ got the nod as a 12 and as a wing as well.

Forget about a "fit and in form Burger" (and Vermeulen for that matter) untill they are indeed fit and then in form again. That was the reason why you could not see the wood from the trees in the entire S15 competition. It was always clear that the Stormers were not going to win the bloody thing, and you kept on harping about the absence of Burger and Vermeulen, ad nauseum.

Of course I harped on our need of these players windpomp given their undoubted class. We were also told a number of times they would be back only to be disappointed. I didnt atually think we would win it without them given also the extreme youth of many of our forwards. There were also a number o other injuries to contend with.

I couldnt see the wood from the trees you say. I predicted the Stormers would have a good season and they did. However the bulle herders predicted the Stormers would crash and they didnt. On top of that the herders were of the opinion that the bulle team were all legends. Bwahahahahahhaha talk about being way, way out! Hopeless - no clue whatsoever!

So windpomp I trust you are not too sad that Nieaber is remaining with the Stormers. Your last hope gone re the demise of the Mighty Stormers? Hahahahahahaha

Ou windpomp will think of something! Please give my regards to all the gossip girls. Bwahahahahahahaha that Stormerrule interlude was hilarious!

For me, Nienaber staying or not staying is all the same. If he left, you would have been in serious kak. Now he is staying, and you will still be in serious kak, because you will once again try and win the Super 15, by covering for your wickets all the time, and once again your so-called magical defence will fall apart towards the end of the competition and you will once again probably fall over the last hurdle, if you reach it.

So is this thread about how bad the Stormers play rugby or about Kolisi released from the Bok squad?

He was always going to get released from the squad as he is the extra loosie. This however does not mean that he will not rejoin the squad as soon as there is an injury. Same for de jongh JJ covers Wing and centre off the bench while De jongh covers onnly cenntre. I would also release him. Both the players however where called up as cover, and they are still cover. The squad size was going to be dropped for the Trip to mendoza, it's just that mekeup of the squad that Meyer needed to decide on.

Why the big Hooha Beeno?

It has nothing to do with Beeno, you just proved my point as well.

Of course it does appear as though the thread is about Kolisi's current absence from the Bok squad, but you have to understand Beeno to see what he really wants to bring across. What he really want to say is that Kolisi is out because he has to make way for Schalk Burger if and when he someday maybe return. You have to understand that he has Schalk Burger underpants and pajamas, and thet he has Schalk Burger cereal in the morning. On top of that, the moment that he does not have an answer to anything a Bulls supporter has to say, he avoids the issue in total by immediately falling back on whatever kak he can dish up about the Bulls.

Guys normally all of us a Pro Schalk pundits, the man is a monster, unfortuntaley not in the picture at this stage.

Ceradyne and Carpe I really do hope the this is not a pure generalisation you feel about us Stormers supporters, because honestly one eyed you get from everywhere including the pure blue north. Carpet, your view on us down here in the cape is really distressing, are we all like that?

But alas I digress again.......

Ek and Carpet, a little back of background. Our friend ou Beenbal, have quite often left the Stormers/WP supporters with lots of egg on their faces on the other site where I post and where he used to post. I will not get into the details but one of those guys post on here sometimes as well, so I am not taking behind his back. He,  he has quite often taken us on about our "attacks on the Stormers/WP" but it was more because of Beeno's revelations. LOL. I would not disagree that I sometimes take shots at you guys but it is more banter than anything else.

well i am also in cape town so your answer to that question is no....that being said there is a fine line between being a true supporter and one eyed....there is little between those 2 to be fair. making rubbish clams of being the best and not really being that can really be mistaken for being deluded. if the stormers played a great brand of rugby and won every title there is i wont like them but i would respect them for it

seeing the rubbish post by certain other stormers supporters just adds more fuel to the fire.

i am not a blue bull either but i respect what they have done for SA rugby. i dont see bulls or sharks supporters claiming being all mighty. i feel more sad for the real objective supporters because the poor ones always drags the other ones into the mud with them.

its not aimed at you Ek sorry about that

OK just clearing things up. I attempt never to Generalise as i have great friends that support other teams and i know crappy okes that support my team. As long as you can appreciate that.

Also some people refer more to themselves than to the team, whixh might explain some issues.

Precisely Ek, Kolisi MAY be the future but he is not now. Snapster picked him in his Bok side and I am addressing him in saying I dont agree. Meyer has not found a place for him now.

windpomp you pumping hot air again. Schalk is out for the rest of the year so how in the world am I wanting Kolisi out so Schalk can  return. No I am saying Kolisi is not ready now.  The vicious anti Stormers stance of you and the herders is well  known windpomp so cease trying to stir it up here as well.  Nastiness is best left where you came from windpomp.

Don't be jealous of Schalk Burger windpomp just because he is a WP player.  You guys have trashed him many a time but for all your pains he was made SA Player of the year 2011 and you were left with very redfaces. Bwahahahahahahahha that was hilarious. Then it was everyone was wrong but the herders!!! Hahahahahhahahahahaha.

Fact is Burger is an all time Bok great. Tough on ya windpomp!

Dispite the much criticised Stormers style of play I rate this as a very successful season.  Topping the log and winning the SA Conference - Great - especially after being trashed by windpomp and friends before the season began.

Beeno had the last laugh for sure!!!!!!!!!!!

Great loosies hit the season explosively.....witness you Coetzee as the latest example. It's not experienceKolisi lacks....it's talent.

He will continue to be a fine Super flank. He doesn't have what it takes to survive in international rugby.

But I will always remember Kolisi skinning JJ Engelbrecht through the outside gap.

Yo Beans, just on your second post. Dude, I don't think there is a Bulls supporter in the whole of South Africa that expected the Bulls to do anything special in Super Rugby this year. In fact most of us were quite surprised that they did as well as they did. I really don't know where you  get your information from! Monty Python's "...or did I dream it?" springs to mind. Seriously man, I wonder sometimes what the weather is like on your planet?

Bluebok I am actually referring to certain nutters on a board I used to post on. They were virulently anti the Stormers, they predicted a dismal season and think the bulle are all legends orlegendsin the making  etc. Excuse me if I remind windpomp of it as he was one of the instigators and was having a go.

I was not referring to bulle supporters here who I find very reasonable folk.  No one here predicted in virulent tones a  dismal season for the Stormers etc. I can say that because I know it to be so as I was here when this board recommenced activities.

The guys here are generally an amiable lot and not virulent types. Able to take and give out a bit of banter. We are very fortunate with regard to the guys who have gatherered here. Take that Keo poster re how not to post  - Hahhahaha what a case! Even our Kiwi friends- I have given them some hard dope to process but look at the superb sense of humour of Sitting Bull and Hakwa. SaSUE never gets that perturbed and Brycy is very funny at times.

Ah yeah Beenkop you thick p....., good old Kolisi has been dropped from the Bok squad for he was so poor in his first test, he just had to go.......man you are thick

I take it you never saw Kolisi dominating the physical battles all S15 - his size has stuff all to do with it. One certainty is that he is a similar size to Coetzee and over 100kg

Get over your pathetic take on size you stupid donkey - wake the f up

Fact is Kolisi is surplus right now to Meyers requirements right now and was sent home. Meyer knows what you dont snapster and that is Kolisi is not ready yet.

As for Coetzee he will understudy Burger should Burger make a successful return to health and form.

Snapster making all the wrong calls! Bwahahahahhahaha Kolisi dominating the physical battles in the Super 15 - hahahahahahahahahahaha hilarious stuff  -ou snapster really has these weird ideas!.

Only a complete idiot like yourself would have Burger ahead of our best loosie in Coetzee. Schalk wont play again, he is history - much like Jean and Habana - these players are done - try wake up to this reality?

So brainbox, why on earth did Meyer add Kolisi to the squad if he did not think he was ready? And what exactly did Meyer base leaving him out on, given Kolisi has yet to win a cap dipstick?

Why are you so stupid?

I have it from an impeccable source that the doc thinks Schalks op was a success so dont be too sure snapster you know how often you get it wrong.

The only way we will know Kolisi is not ready, is by playing him. Meyer brought him into the squad on the strength of his S15 performances dumbo

And after getting to know the player at closer rang esent him home. Hahahhaha ou snaspter battling to figure out how Meyer ould hav eblundered like ths iwhen snapser thinks the Bok loose  trio should be Kolisi (6) Coetzee (8) and Alberts.

I tell you what snapster I am watching how this very young Coetzee goes against the abs. Coetzee of course is more robust than Kolisi by some way so he stands a better chance.

No Meyer got it right and snapster got it wrong - whats new?  Kolisi is not ready yet and Meyer on closer inspection wisely sent the youngster home.

Not at all a bad Bok pack but a great pity about Bissie - in a class of his own. If Vermulen gets back to form it will be even better. I see Coenie is also on his way back. Wonder if he will play in the championship this year. WP Nel seems to have been ignored. I prefer him to Cilliers. With Coenie playing on both sides WP should then come into the mix rather than Cilliers.

Kolisi at 21 is better than Schlak was at the same age - by some distance in fact. This kid, like Bismark is a physical freak, he dominates the contact situations - he will thrive at test level. If Coetzee can play test rugby and impress as he has, then so can Kolisi.

Give me JJ at 13 ahead of hasbeen Nonu or Conrad Smith anyday. Kolisi would start at 6 and JJ at 13 against the AB's for me. JJ is twice the 13 Jean is - Jean is a past it 12, too slow and ponderous for a test 13

What year was Schalk voted World Player of the year? I think it was when he was 21. Kolisi is good but I doubt he will achieve what Schalk has with his career. He may not even achieve- what Schalk will do if he returns from injury. Schalk is still young, but his body has taken serious punishment and will limit his performance before age does.

Yes Schalk was named player of the year, but the game has moved on somewhat since and what I am saying is that Kolisi is better at the same age. More than anything he is physically more imposing than Schalk was and is now. Kolisi is a freak, much like Bismark, Etzebeth, Coetzee and Elstadt are

@sharkbok,

yes he was 21 and he won it in 2004. if he gets his body right, IMO theres still a good two years left in him, enough to push for that elusive super rugby title and to guide in the new era of Bok loose forwards, except coetzee of course, hes already the man and will only get better.

@saffex,

kolisi is a class player, but thats a big call saying hes as good as burger was when he was 21. i disagree that kolisi is physically more imposing, i think at his best kolisi was close, but burger was way more physically renowned.
kolisi can handle the rough stuff easy, but his strengths lie in his mobility, something he does trump burger in and IMO the only thing at the moment.

Kolisi breaks tackles at will and drives opponents back in the tackle, something Schalk never does. Schalk is a hard but who puts his body on the line and gives it a full go. Kolisi possesses better rugby skills and makes more of an impression on the field than Schalk does. Kolisi is the better player and will prove it
