Yes surely a new webhost will make the site more secure and faster?

I know the site is hosted in the UK and last night there was a huge cyber attack across quite a few secured data facilites so i dont think the hack was just on this site.

A friend of mine is a web host in England and mentioned that there was a terrible episode of hacking going on.

Good to see the site back up though.

 Spot on Chip.
Huge cyber attacks going on at the moment, not specific to this site.

Just a suggestion, if this site goes down permanently in the future,  we should have a backup to keep everyone in contact. What if we open FB accounts with our board nics and friends request each other. I'm not a face booker, but it would be nice to have a backup plan. Our Kiwi friends knows what happens when a forum just suddenly goes down.

 Hi DD

We do regular website backups, so there should never be an instance of the website being down permanently.

We also have user account backups as a contingency plan to keep us all together.

We must reiterate though that the cyber attacks occurring recently are not specific to us, but as mentioned by previous posters they are occurring on a number of data centers across the globe.

Data center security is being stepped up in light of these attacks.

Enjoy the 6 Nations today!

Yours in rugga
Ed

Ed, you have all our e-mail addresses anyway, so if the shit ever hit the fan......you have access to us all and could keep us updated in the event of a worst case scenario

I see a lot of egg on some faces

Well done Ed

This stupid assertion that everything that happens on this site is either done by some mole with bad intentions or another website is childishly pathetic.

This just shows how hilariously stupid, naive and completely irrational some posters on here are.
