Fofana and B Vunipola out for remainder of 6N with injuries. Picamoles dropped from squad for Scotland due to disrespecting ref.

Drop them before value declines.

I am not convinced by this fantasy thing......Mike Brown had a fantastic game, won MOM yet scored so low on fantasy.

The scoring system does not fairly reflect the players contributions in a game.

@oimatey,good looking out,
@saffex,yup the scoring can be pretty BS, but the scoring system might give you an idea of how to plan accordingly,

Sas thats why I cant get into this fantasy rugby......the scoring is not scientific enough......too many true rugby factors are excluded

It is difficult to plan when a player has a stormer yet gets marked with a low score in comparison with a bog ordinary player !! Unless one can understand the vagaries of the scorers brain, it's impossible to really make any real decision, i sn't it ?

I think, in fairness, it's what one calls " a lottery "

Good luck with it though !!

It can't measure subjective items like rugby nous, instincts, decision making and taking but for the most part I find a player that has a good game also does well statistically and therefore scores high in fantasy.
There is the odd occasion where that doesn't line up, but it usually does. There is a good level of predictability.
I find Foxsports and Superbru are pretty true to the mainline stats you would find on ESPN etc but Testrugby definitely has a more subjective approach and in-house scorer. Their "Go-Forward" stat is particularly subjective as not every time a player carries the ball does it meet the criteria to be scored as "Go-Forward"
Fantasy rugby has definitely made me watch the game differently and notice things I otherwise might not have.

But Mike Brown is heading the 6 Nations Most Metres Gained....how's he scoring in the Fantasy game for that ?
Chris Robshaw, Most Tackles Made ? Is he anywhere in your Fantasy stats ?
I don't suppose so !
What about Danny Care ? Playing exceptionally well, two Drop Goals and a Try, goodness knows how many metres made/offloads etc over the Tournament so far. But I bet he isn't even in the mix, is he ?

I'm sure Mike Brown would be doing a lot better if he was wearing a different colour shirt !!

Becs,
Mike Brown is the highest scoring outside back
Danny Care is the highest scoring scrumhalf
Robshaw is the 11th highest scoring loosie but that is because the scoring takes into account a lot more than tackling and his attacking game is not as good as the top scoring loosies of which Billy Vunipola is the highest, who also happens to be English.

As Sasue and oimatey are pointing it all depends on the scoring system.
The one of Testrugby is a little bit subjective:

Game Statistic Short Name Points Value Score a Try Try 100 Assist (setup a try) Ast 60 Line Break / Beat Tackler L-brk 30 Force a Turnover T-o 30 Kick a Goal G-kck 25 Setup Go Forward Ball G-fwd 20 Catch a Kick Cat 20 Make a Tackle Tkl 10 Win a Scrum Scr 10 Win a Lineout L-o 10 Miss a Kick at Goal G-mis -15 Lose Possession L-pos -20 Concede Penalty Pen -25
instead of runs or metres gained, they put a categorie "Go forward" which is totally subjectie since some runs are counted and others are not.
The "catch a kick" categorie is very strange also because is not something to reward and less with so many points. That's why players like Sam whitelock always perform well in this fantasy game, he's the main catcher for the saders which can mean 5 or 6 catches per match, around an extra 100 points. The same applies for Parisse who appart from being one of the most completes nº8 is the italian main catcher. H e doesn't perform so well in other fantasy games.

But the scoring system of Foxsport is very complete and it would be very strange that a good performance wouldn't be rewarded with a big amount of points:

Action Points Playing 1 - 60 minutes1 Props that play more than 60 minutes4 Hookers, locks and backrowers that play more than 61 minutes3 All other positions playing more than 61 minutes2 For each try scored by a prop or hooker15 For each try scored by a lock or backrower12 For each try scored by a scrum-half, fly-half, centre or outside back10 For each try assist5 For each try save5 For each conversion2 For each conversion miss-1 For each penalty goal3 For each penalty miss-1 For each drop goal3 For each drop goal miss-1 Yellow card-5 Red card-15 For each run1 For each tackle bust2 For each offload1 For each linebreak5 For each linebreak creates3 For each error-3 For each tackle made by a prop or hooker2 For each tackle made by all other positions1 For each tackle miss-2 For each lineout take on own throw1 For each lineout steal on opposition throw4 For each lineout error, includes not straight, throw error or jump error-3 For each tight head won, awarded to entire front row7 For each tight head lost, awarded to entire front row-3 For each pilfer4 For each turn over forced3 For each penalty - long arm-4
Evverythng is included. The only thing that i would change is to include the "Metres gained" instead of or alongside "runs".

But as it's pointed above it's all about adapting to the scoring system
