Good night Andrew Strauss.
Graham Smith has again been the catalyst of an English cricket captains retirements.
First came Nassar Hussain, then Michael Vaughan and now Andrew Strauss.
It says a lot about the steel-like attitude of Smith. His relentlessness has brought our boys along way in the test arena, and put a few opposing captains out to dry along the way.
When Donald, Cullinan, Kirsten, Gibbs and Pollock all retired, it could have brought about some difficult times in our cricket side.
But Smith along with a few others have ensured that we have just gone from strength to strength.
Thank you Graeme Smith.
I've supported this fella since he was still at school when I saw him play as a chubby 13 year old.
I'm so proud.
He has shut each and every one of his critics up time after time.
Sure he made mistakes and appeared arrogant at times. But over the years he has matured as a person since those days as a 22 year old captain.
