The news is far and in between and nothing official has been announced.   The journalists could only determine who took part in the full scale training programme and who not:-

*   Marcel Coetzee is apparently back in full training and should be fit to play

*   Francois Steyn apparently did not take part and there seems to be a longer term injury problem.

There is still no official comments from the Bok Management on the injury issue and especially the issue of players like Etzebeth, Burger and  others.

Cape Town - Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is not prepared to gamble with the career of Eben Etzebeth so it's unlikely he'll feature in the June internationals.

The report on the training camp indicated that the following players diod not participate in the field training:-

'In all there were 10 players who missed training sessions at the camp because of injuries of varying severity. They included Eben Etzebeth, who remains unlikely to play in the June internationals, his Stormers teammates Frans Malherbe and Schalk Burger, as well as Willem Alberts, S’bura Sithole, Juan de Jongh, Johan Goosen, Bismarck du Plessis and Duane Vermeulen.

Among the more serious are Sharks flank Alberts and centre Sithole, who were treated for grade 1 hamstring strains picked up in last week’s match against the Blues.:

A full report on the injury situation is expected tomorrow - but the issue with some players is already clear.   Malherbe is still showing some after-effects of concussion during the Highlanders game and this should clear up by next week.   Willem Alberts had a serious fat strain and is likely to be out for a couple of weeks.   There is no indication as to what the injury issues relating to De Jongh, Goosen and Bismarck were - so we will have to wait until Saturday to hear what the team selection will entail.

The situation will obviously also affect the  team announcement for the Sharks team expected for tomorrow.
