We start the game without a kicker….with our most dangerous player fielding up and unders….and with a moron at outside centre.

Kolbe is definitely wasted at 15.

Kolbe is a 15, but a bad decision maker. The Spuds missed lots of kicks. Things go deeper at a coaching level. We just got beaten by the better team on the day.

Poor team selection and blind leadership not building any depth or experience at 10.

Libbok and Smith should have been the team. Not my first choice but at least they kick their goals.

We can't hang around for Pollard and unfortunately the horse has bolted now.

No way we can be ready for the world cup

Not impossible King, but it's going to require bold decision making by the suits. We need a coaching change now. This team of coaches are not good for the players we have.

Actually just reckless not having a recognized place kicker in the starting team....losing those points in a test match is suicide.....Surely Kriel should  be replaced now after this outing??? Our Midfield is not good enough....failing time and again to create absolutely zero.....we had plenty of possession but no points to show for it.....R&N,s Gameplan and stupid player selection, needs a serious overhaul.... as it is evident that the top Tier teams are catching on to our style of play and beating us....not a good start....Congrats to Ireland.

What a bunch of clowns posting this drivel. Did you watch what Mallet revealed of the ref blunders or the clip I posted on same subject. The ref cost the Boks the win.

The dopey biased mozzzzz has been against Erasmus from day one and has been severely embarrassed again and again but doubles down on his rank stupidity. When is this buffoon ever going to admit he got the whole covid bs hopelessly wrong especially the deadly jabs. Does he even know how this is playing out.

What utter nonsense

Piss poor selections with Kolbe at 15 and Willemse at 10. Not having a recognised 10 in the match 23 is pathetic, much like not having a goal kicker Fact is the Boks have failed to evolve - we are playing it narrow with no attempt to take it wide. At least the Irish attempted to take it wide, thankfully snuffed out by Kriel and Mapimpi on many occasions Moz your take on Kriel being a moron is laughable we can thank him for his awesome work on defence in that game

There were many attempts to go wide Saffex. The problem is how they go wide. There were lots of long balls to the tramlines, and a pool of Boks passively awaiting the ball. Player x receives ball and cuts inwards with the passive pool trailing behind. It was messy and awkward. The structure is so bad that it's not very discernable how much the players themselves add to the problem, aside from the obvious cases.

The point on Kriel is a good one. He was very quick on defence, and accurate. He has had numerous good games on defence in the past. However, when he goes off the boil, it's in a big way, and has been in big games! That said, he is clearly a better defender than Am, but Am has a higher ceiling on attack. Going forward, it would make more sense to have Kriel, as our defence needs to find some solidity. Kriel and Mapimpi were immense. The result would have likely been far more onesided were they not so quick and accurate out wide.

Come now chaps…..Kriel’s immense defence? He made 4 tackles and missed 1. There isn’t a stat that measures structure but we were very alert to the Irish wrap around tactic. I suppose Kriel may have played some role in that but I can’t remember anything of note.

He is functioning in the rush…but not a great one on one tackler as we saw recently in the RC and famously in the Japan loss in 95.

No it’s a fact as was Mapimpi They snuffed out the Irish attacks Their tackles were executed to perfection - great timing and awareness Huge difference between a conventional tackle and one that halts an attack in its tracks

Stats are not useful. Kriel rushed up and ended attacks for a loss. Those are game changing contributions, particularly from 13. He was very solid in contact. Being as strong as he is, he'd probably be a big upgrade for us at 12. At least when he hits some space, he puts the foot down and gains good ground. None of these slow carries with even slower recycles.

I've never been a Kriel fan but it struck me that he had one of his better games in defence. So also the Pimp. Our backline attack is still non exi stent.
