Lets hope useless Cortzee is not expecting us to believe that the selection of Cassiem at 8 is a merit selection. Apart from the fact that he is a pretty average player, I for one have never seen him play 8.......so all of a sudden he has gone from being surplus to requirements in the French series to starting out of position at 8 for the Boks......the mind boggles.
It does not end there........our loosetrio is a complete mess, in effect we have two 6's in Kolisi and Kriel, with one operating as a 7 and with Cassiem on board we have no grunt amongst our loosies.......this issue is compounded by the fact that we have Mostert at lock, great heart but hardly the most physical lock in the world.
Add Coenie at tighthead, a recent loosehead convert and the retention of Beast at 1 who has been upstaged by some margin by Kitshoff each time.
Does Coetzee really see that as a potentially dominant pack?
I would have selected impressive Wilco Louw at tighthead, started deserving Kitshoff at loosehead, played Steph du Toit, Lood, Willemse, Jenkins or Snyman as Eben's lock partner
My loose trio would have had Kolisi at 6, Mostert at 7 and du Preez at 8. Only reason Jaco Kriel is not starting is because my pack is looking a little pale. However saying that Kolisi has been brilliant and I am a huge fan.

In the backs we still see the utterly useless Cronje at 9, heaven help us.
Any one of Hougaard, Faf, Reinach, Groom and Schrauder are better options

I'm happy with the rest of the backs, although find it hard to leave Janse v Rensburg out, he should definitely be on the bench.
I see Coetzee is waxing lyrical of Bosch, the lad with plenty of talent, but zero hard edge - the guy is scared of contact.
Coetzee's player management leaves much to be desired, while I am no great fan of Lleyds, yes he has had his moments this last Super series but he gets discarded in total after coming off the bench against the French, while Rhule having been defensively exposed, somehow retains his place - what rugby is Coetzee and co watching?
Coetzee has sold us short in a big way, in particular the pack and at 9 and wing
