the two leading SA sides the Mighty Stormers and the pink bulle.

Doesn't augur well for wee brussouw's Bok hopes - who in any event is struggling to poach any ball and has for some time. So you see Dave and Card, Beeno once again has his finger on the pulse having realsed that a specialst fetcher is not as vital as you two have imagined. You need to be a bit mor flexible in your thinking.

I tell you something else. Wee stegsies, a very similar player to wee brussouw, will not oust the likes of Jaque Potgieter or even Stander if ou Ludeke has more than two brain cells. neither o fthese two are specialsit number 6 players.

Methinks Burger can do the job at 6 for the Boks and then we select a number 8 and 7 thereafter. This is quite possible and any idea that wee brussouw is assured of a starting position is flawed as the importance of a so called specialist has been ignored by both the Stormers and bulle and wee Keegan Daniels  also can hardly be called a Pocok like specialist number 6. Again who is the specialist number +6 for the Lions. Also Jake never ever thought such a player was necessary.  etc etc. 

One would have thought if a specialist ball poaching fetcher is so vital then our Super 15 coaches would have realised this, Jake would have realsied this etc etc. So Dave and Card please open your minds to other posibilities. Look and see what is effective, who is effective etc - ie what works and what doesn't

Some clowns say Pocock was the reason that OZ won against the Boks in WC. However I have noted that Dan Retief saw 5 or 6 hands in rucks (apart from his many other blunders  -nz ref of the year!!) right in the Oz 22 by Oz. Well if you are allowed to have hands in the rucks by a foul ref like BL then of course you will be  effective. Hahahahahhahahahahahaha the conclusiosn some folk draw!!!!! 

So pleae no more about how essential wee brussouw is to the Boks cause, world class, super human strength and all that patent nonsense. On egoodseries against the Lionsdoesn't make a career andcurrently wee brussouw has a lot to prove. I wish him well of course.. I do however want to see brussouw in a dominant pack before concluding on the matter.

Um Beeno, the Stormers have been playing Kolisi at 6, a specialist fetcher and prior to his injury the Bulls had Stegman as their 6, again a specialist fetcher. At the moment the Bulls have CJ Stander doing the job and this weekend the Stormers have no fetcher at all - glad to help you out Beeno - some advise for the future - try engage the brain before the fingers next time!!

For the record Brussouw has been in great form this S15 and will walk the Bok No6 spot at a canter

Brussouw in 2009 form is worth having.....the physically handicapped player who Pocock literally ran over, was not. I would never play a second class small fetcher like Stegman or Watson. To give up so much physicality a small fetcher has to be brilliant. Otherwise I'd rather play a Francois Louw type.....who also provides some grunt.

In any case the best fetcher in South African rugby is Bismarck.

Again since when was Stander a specialist fetcher!!!!! Fact is neither the bulle or the Stormers are playng a specialist fetcher. Ou stegsies was a weak link and will battle to get back.

Brussow is hands down the best fetcher in South Africa and, Hooper aside, the best in the world. Bismarck has done what on the ground? He has no presence whatsoever, 90% of the time he hangs behind the ruck, and when he does attempt to do something he gets brushed aside with ease. It's happened repeatedly for years. Louw offers no grunt, he was savaged playing against New Zealand and Australia and the Italians got even with him in that second test. Nothing of note there. In terms of strength, Brussow is one of our strongest. Unfortunately the mentally handicapped amongst us equate a big blob as strength, the blobbier the stronger they are. Not only does Brussow offer raw physicality, but immense speed and a phenomenal work rate. He currently sits second on the log for tackles made, long way ahead of the next South African! Even more worrying is the delusions of those that cannot see his impact for the Cheetahs or the Boks in the World Cup. His work at the breakdown has saved the Tahs many times this year, his more recent being a poached ball in Cheetahs territory that prevented a try that eventually led to a Cheetah try instead. No, the argument against Brussow is imbecilic at best.

Kolisi is a fetcher Beeno - wake up. I never said Stander was, I said Stegman was the Bulls fetcher, but is injured, so Stander is filling that role at present.
