 What happened in the first half when the Boks were extremely fortunate to go into halftime 18-13 ahead. It's no exaggeration to say that while the World 15 were playing they dominated and the first half belonged to them. Dominated territory and possesion.
No more so than in the scrum. In the second half the World 15 pack had jouney men like Cilliers, Schalk Ferrerai, Hargreaves  etc and so very obviously were just coasting through the match with little conviction.Mallet did very well to fire up these guys to play at least a half. To trash Mallet who had one practise session and a tired group is nonsense. 

Sorry but in truth not much was proved. However against this level of competiton certain things became apparent:We have scrum problems. The Bok front row got pumped. Tired? Not up to it?Coenie was shown up again at tighthead.Bakkies looks good for a few more testsBakkies completely out played matfield who apart from a few tackles and line out takes didnt do much. One nice pass whilst in the backline. Bring in Etzebeth, Loodt etcAlberts's work rate is not good enough. Start with SchalkCollectively this loose trio lacks pace. Drop Alberts.Pienaaar offers very little.Morne's boot was good but he is NO threat on attack. Goosen had a cameo. Pienaar, Morne and Frans offer little on attack - need more spark than they provide. Meyer needs to rest the Sharks front row. Hopefully theyare just tired. Poor Beast having we e matfiled as his "Lock' - did you see those skinny legs!!
This match doesn't prove much other than some oaks couldn't cope with even this level of competition.
Ist half was very concerning. While they were playing the world 15 looked better than the Boks.So no room for smugness. The RC will reveal all. This match provided some evidence of problems but was not sufficient as  proper test.
What a great pity Wales and Scotland are not at full strength

Hahaha....now the match you were uncertain we could win means little. This is what happened:

The Boks were a little slow at the start, the Worlds faster out of the blocks. Added to which we gave up a few silly penalties which gave the Worlds field position. 
After the initial flurry the Boks took over...there really was only one side in this after 15 minutes. The Boks only point of weakness was the scrums....never a great strength of ours. And Heyman is still a formidable scrummager.
The lineouts were precision, the work on the deck was good.
In the backs Morne looked like he needed game time, but the other backs were fine...Willie was a little more cautious than for the Cheetahs, and better. Habana sees the field, I was impressed by Hendricks.
HasBeen what amazes me most about your comments is you are starting to sound more and more like the Village idiot. 
As for Mallett there is nothing about how the Worlds played which is a credit to him...unlike the Barbarians his team of substantial stars played boring rugby.

 I have reserved any judgement on this game because I will never back against the Sharks or Boks. I am a true supporter.
Lets face it Mozart, the World XV were never going to beat the Boks with that pack. So much was against them and they had 2 starting locks with no mongrel! A Georgian at flank that whilst a massive man, is still a Georgian! Rugby is not something that comes naturally to them. They had a much weaker front row too. Had their forwards resembled their backs, even with the minimal time spent together, they would have given us a much bigger fright.
I am all for youth and experience but we are going with too much experience now and its not like that "experience" have ever been consistently better than the AB's so what makes us think thats gona change the older they get. Queit the opposite in fact. Start selecting players that know how to beat them and are hungry to do it. I will give you a clue..That doesn't include old Bulls players. Start looking at current Sharks players...

BL I think HM is much smarter than advertised. You can start with a young team and add experience...or test your old players and replace the ones who don't perform. But most importantly you have to start with a core team...otherwise we would have been in real trouble 15 minutes into the game.
By the RWC we will have a team with an age profile in line with former RWC winners...ie 27 to 28.

We have the talent that requires the support at the test level now not at the world cup.
Hoping for a wake up at the managers/coaches level.
