So the SA Under 20 team is useless?

When I said the SA Under 20 team looked like a good team - our local expert wrote that they are useless and he went wild with joy when the French beat a weakened team subsequently.  After all - he is always right - everyone else is wrong.

The team was seriously affected by their two best players not being available due to injury during the match against the Irish.   Despite that =

*  the team lost by one point against England in the semi; and

*   the team beat the NZ under 20 team by 10 points in the bronze game 

Mozart sure - I did scoff at the bronze game against Argentina in 2015 - because the Argentinians did release most of their top players from playing in the game and the Springboks won playing the Argentinian  "B" team.   So get some reality into the situation/

The AB juniors payed their best team today and they were beaten.   That makes a huge difference in the situation.   

Why not admit that your earlier BS iro of the team was wrong - as you are 90% of the time.

There top 8 performers were not in the team and it was clear that it was not the Pumas top team. who played earlier in the series.    Matter of fact the team looked much like the team named in that match as a sort of trial for their final WC squad/selection.

It was stated - also in the media - that this was not the real top Argentina team

Easy to check - see which players were in the semi - but not in the bronze medal game.

Anyway

The French won in the final - the only team that beat the SA time with a substantial point difference.   They demolished the English scrum as well and they piled up penalties in that component like it was unbelievable.

You are a fool - the SA scrumming was poor - bar in the NZ game - and their flyhalf play without Willemse was inadequate as well.   However, the rest of the team was better and tey showee that they could deal with the deficiencies in most matches.     

...not so clevermike yr right a thoroughly forgettable tournament for NZ... but congrats to SA for making the most of the yellow card opportunity to take the lead...great 'gamemanship' also shown by SA faking injuries and slowing the game down towards the end - showing professionalism beyond their years...but well done for taking out the bronze for the umpteenth time...

And they say French rugby has been destroyed by foreign players.... France's historic victory at the U 20s tournament might just suggest otherwise....Castres winning the Top14 also suggesting French rugby is alive and well... 

A huge tournament from Jordan Joseph No8 for France and only 17yrs old would you believe - surely he was the player of the tournament...bulldozing French prop Demba Bamba also going places... big tournament also from Romain Ntamack

Hotstepping SA centre Sinsimella also had a good tournament  - scoring again and setting up tries in the bronze game ...dunno why he was switched to the wing mid tournament - seems like a dopey decision from the SA U20s coach ?

Leicester Tigers Jordan Olowofela and Quins Gabriel Ibitoye look like possible future England reps also... but can't say i watched enough of the tournament to analyse it in any depth..

The NZ Tight 5 was seriously defective and poor.   The NZ team has the backline players and the loosies - but they were poor in both scrumming and line-outs.  The same can be said about the  SA side although their  Tight 5 was better than the NZ one.

I agree with you about the French under 20 though - they have some excellent players coming through and that would help France in future.  

Apparently, thees team Francaise, is centrement du, 'Le plan RWC23 Victoire'. Allez France!

Of course, they were useless.

They lost and lost. They prepared specifically for that competition, getting a ton of matches before the comp, played a brand of rugby that does not scale up toward senior squads etc

NZ was programmed to win, they gave up on the bronze. Bronze is losing, and NZ is dedicated to winning.

Not only rugby wise, they were useless, and a pain to watch but it takes big sacrifices to deny the appalling level in all SA quota players.

Looks as if they started rugby from yesterday.

Not one single half decent player in them.

Even WA seems to have one, or SC, without telling about EN and FR.

Apart from that, there is nothing wrong in SA rugby kingdom.

The suggestion was already made: that mouthpiece who creates incidents on air by belittling his fellow commentator would serve better SA rugby by opening an academy dedicated to those players to train at least one single decent one.

One single player, it is all what is asked.

Too much asked from the con going by the name of SA rugby.

Discounting the racial abuse brought by SA players when they had to face able non white players.

SA would do the world a favour by withdrawing their squad from the competition so that other teams with rugby spirit take off.
