So the Sharks red card

Firstly this hit was exactly the same as the hit Kolisi was yellow carded for…..the player was already held in the tackle dropping slightly….the tackler was second in and went straight into the head. The Kolisi tackle was just as much a red as this incident.

Secondly it occurred with 60 minutes to go and Cardiff up by 7 points. The model predicts 2.5 points every ten minutes …..so 15 points as a result of the red. So the model predicts a 22 point victory for Cardiff. It ended at 36 to 14…..a 22 point victory.

Model vindicated.

Which again underscores the Bok 1 point victory with a man up for a net 40 minutes was unconvincing

Well, this is a red I can agree with. Going in high with a shoulder, no attempt to perform a legal tackle. Forethought and intent. It is much different from the Kolisi one though.

How do you explain the lions beating Glasgow who were top of the log until 2 weeks ago? 

I don’t. I never saw the game. The model provides a handicap, teams can  overcome a handicap. But then let’s acknowledge that happened. The ABs had a 10 point handicap and lost by 1 point.

There's some irony there. Like I said earlier, if we win this RWC it'll be despite Rassie, not because of him.

The initial selection of 4 scrumhalves, the decision to exclude Pollard from the original squad, the selection of Am to replace Mapimpi when we didn't use him even once, the 7-1 split for the final, the kick-and-hope game plan . . . all stupid shortsighted decisions made by an egotistical fool trying to prove he's some kind of genius.
