What an utterly kak error-ridden yellow tinted official dominated five-minutes-watching-a-fucking-replay-of-a-shove kickadoozy maulathon piece of crap that was.

The Boks finally manage a backline move in minute 80 and score. Apart from that the only rugby worth mentioning was the Argie flanker's superb try.

I don't think Bok rugby is worth watching anymore. If I didn't have some people over watching with me I would have switched this shit off long before the half.

Watched the first 10 minutes and then switched to Ladies cricket (India v England) much more exciting plus the umpires don't scream into the microphone like this "Ref" does.

Totally agree with the above two comments.

Nobody would like to watch a team without a flyhalf that delivers something - in the case I give Frans Steyn 3/10 for conversions and 0/10 for all other aspects of flyhalf play.

Fuck me Mike... care to evaluate all players by the same standard??? Bet de Linsy got a 15/10 huh? Being stepped to fuck all game long. Fucker defends like a squeaky rusted front gate half hanging off its hinges slowly creaking to a close. Dont get your fanny wet about his carries either... he was held up for the strip and was shit getting the ball recycled quickly. Sloppy dumb Block runs. Just fucking run. You fucking moan about Jantjies and now frans but plug in and play a different guy and its the same crap. So much shitty biases here. Just call it like it is.

Saw an article saying Boks had a good win. Well at least we never lost against Argentina like the wee abs!

I understand the wee abs ended with the same points as us but won the Championship on mere points differential. So of course the wee abs are brilliant and Boks useless. Oz and Argentine get a pass.

I note it's getting fashionable among some seedy characters here to trash the Boks at every turn and after every match

The same people take the same shots against the same players match after match. For Moz is Du Toit, for the weirdo trans Mrs Searle it's Allende and so on.

It's all totally predictable and a total bore.

Now I see the drag queen Mrs Searle is a heavy drinker. That explains why the hapless twit makes a complete ass of himself on a daily basis in between spewing out the foulest language from the sewer he lives in.

A hapless louse infected cretin who needs to be fumigated and disinfected and mouth washed out with soap and dettol. Then hung on a clothesline by his ears to dry. Repeat again till clean.

Anyhow glad I was on a healthy hike enjoying the stunning beauty of Table Mountain. The incessant whining from so called Bok supporters is so unbecoming, so unbalanced as to be cringe worthy.

Bwahahahahahaha.

CF

Just a question and funny story.    A Maori lived in an apartment which on the one wall had a huge gong.    Coming back from a night of rather heavy drinking with his mates one of them ask him what time is is,   So he took a hammer and hit the gong as hard as he could,   T he neighbor next door shouted "What the f3ck are you doing at 2 in the morning - you drunk bastard?"

Thought it was very funny.

Kingcorn is it not farcical? Three pairs of eyes on the field yet they can't make an instant decision on something as elementary as that, and then need endless replays to call something that was obvious on the first replay. Limit use of the TV ref to checking for issues around tries and serious foul play. For the rest, let the THREE FUCKING OFFICIALS on the field grow some balls and make some calls, all this telly review nonsense for every little piddle that happens is just turning the game into even more of a dire slog.

Pakie, I’m agreeing with you.

Even the Etzebeth disallowed try was a joke.

We won, but really poor reffing. Then, in the AB game Sevu Reece made clear head contact, no sighting, just played on.

This shits needs to end with the ref taking centre starve rather than the game.

That said, even though the boks won, it was a poor game by them and never looked like they could get it passed the first receiver until the final min

Etzebeth\s try was disallowed because he caught the ball in the line-out and passed it back to another player - as the maul moved forward he was without the ball until he took it back in an off-side position and then peeled off and "scored the try".     Technically he was off-side at the stage he took back the ball.     That was the correct decision - if he retained the ball and not passed it back to a supporting player the try would have been allowed.

Even though the ref took some creepy decisions - the incident mentioned was  not one of those.   The really creepy one was when a Puma player was obstructing Edzebeth's advance following up the kicked ball  and the result was a push in the back that resulted in injuries to 2 Argentinian players.     Technically the  Puma player was guilty of obstruction and ne caused the injury - I think a real referee would have penalized the Puma for obstruction and not Etzebeth for trying to push him out of the way,   The resultant yellow card was a farce.

The referee was not one-sided in his handling of the match - I think the referee made mistakes that did not benefit both sides.

FACTS... if the game was reffed properly the Blocks would have had four yellow cards and the Arg win. End of discussion. I keep hearing you lot talk about how hard done by you are by "poor reffing" but you dopey holes get ALL the shady calls. I can't ever remember ever seeing a block team fucked over by bad reffing. Just embarrassing excuses even though it goes your way more often than not.

Just finished watching the Boks v Pumas game, so many penalties and cards. The refs must be sending a message to the players prior to the RWC because we have seen a lot of this in the RC overall. Very painful to watch, you would think the players would have adjusted to the ref. Also, the game started to look like the NFL at one point with each team taking a break after almost every play. I'm glad the refs are starting to call that out also.

On a positive note the last try by th e boks was good & the Pumas have some real skill in the backs that's for sure.

Etzebeth was making a strong argument that he had never let go of the ball…nothing on the video conclusively  proved that he had.

Kolisi never had the ball, Eben never let go. Just like the guy Eben shoved didn't interfere with the jumping Argie. It took several minutes of replays each time for the referee to still get it hopelessly wrong, and the lemmings around him just agreed with his errors. That's why I say, just call these things on instinct, then at least you have the defense that it was an instant call if you get it wrong. If you get it wrong after 8 slow-mo replays, you're just a hopeless official that shouldn't be refereeing test rugby.

Another golden thread.

Nevertheless, for all those who claim they are over with SA rugby, see them for the November tour and so on.

It is impossible for them to let SA rugby go, it is beyond their strength.

They whine with no ground.

Games involving SA rugby cause this behaviour in excess.

SA rugby complete reliance on refereeing to make it puts tremendous pressure on refs.

They prefer to double, triple check everything. One SA rugby staff member intelligently questions the reputation of the game. Hence increasing the pressure that was already placed on refs.

Reffing is fluid when teams play it to allow fluid reffing.

Trad, you have a very good point. I watched Rassies interviews during the 'chasing the sun' series. You could see how he selected his teams and the style he opted to use. He wasn't talking about playing, getting territory, breaking down defences. No, he was talking about where he can get penalties. Scrum dominance, 50/50 up and under kicks.

Of course Rassie blew a gasket when his team couldn't get the penalties to convert.

So I agree that you can't rely on the ref. That is why I get so mad when I see the likes of Dud and Frans mess up the midfield.

But it is also why Eddies Japan beat the boks, they didn't play for penalties but tried and succeeded in compressing our defence before going wide.
