made by Mark Nicholas and the CH9 cricket commentators while discussing nice looking grounds, of course the Adelaide Oval where a Test is being played against India is one of them, it was then suggested that Newlands was the best looking ground in the world as it's framed by Table Mountain but some would argue that it's a shame the view is spoilt by the brewery. The conversation then drifted to how Gary Sobers hit Daymo for a 6 through the longest part of the ground. Benaud, a team mate had a laugh, but soon lost his smile when he in turn was carted down that same path, anyway the talk then drifted to what a great cricketer Sobers was and then they added names like Fredericks and Richards as well but what delight when they mentioned Graeme Pollock's name amongst those immortals.

Time they gave Kallis his due Denny. The only guy who MAY have been better value is Bradman?

That's a tough one....as Allrounder or Batsman?

Doesn't Kallis have a higher average than Sobers and has taken more wickets. Also is  abrilliant fileder but so wa sSobers.

I think in tersm of overall contribution Kallis is almost unbeatable except for bradman. Bradman had a Sheffiled shiled average of 110 and a tes taveage needing only 4 runs to b e100!. In addition h ewas a very shrewed capatin. Histest average was reduced by the bodyline series where he averaged a mere 67 I think it was but could be wrong.

Frankly an argument can be made that  Kallis is thegreates ever.

What in the wolrd has happened to India - total collapse. Wonder if all is well in the camp. HGAry got out a tthe right time or is he so missed?

Cant believe that in so short a time they can decline like this. Ageing player of course I understand that  but this is compelete capitulation.

Are Oz as good as they appear to be in your opinion. Can't keep the Ozzies down for long cricket wise.

About the Ozzies, yeah you are so right, you can't keep them down for too long, mind you in days gone yonder South Africa had the same if not better fighting spirit...but getting back to my fella convicts, their bowling is superb, they're way ahead of any other cricketing nation in that department in that they have genuine young quicks to spare....batting..that's a lingering concern, Ponting will have to go one day and so too Hussy, other than Clarke the rest are not that good. They don't have any young batters to match their bowlers coming through.
