I predicted an Auzzie turn around, and gloated a wee bit about it yesterday, but the Proteas have made a proper comeback! However, I see it is not all going their way with the bat today. Is it a really kak batting wicket? I have not been able to watch the match at all, but based on the scores, it looks like a difficult pitch to bat on.

I see this going down to the wire with a win going either way
SA well poised on 77/2 with 10 overs left for the day.
I do think this wicket will be difficult towards the end of day 4 and especially day 5 if it goes that long.
Some horrible shots played, for easy wickets, but this could be a hell of a test yet.

200 in the last innings on this pitch is gonna be tough.
250 probably not likely.
300 games in the bag.
Not having Steyn is certainly a spanner in the works.
This new spinner. Didn't watch all his overs but the ones i did watch didn't give me the impression that he's very accurate. He took some good wickets though. Seems more of a nibbler than a ripper to me?
Anyone know much about him?

Can't tell you much about him plum. Don't watch a hell of a lot of local cricket. For those following, we are 104/2.

Firstly, his father played a huge role in his cricketing development and secondly he is an accomplished batsmen going by his stats at first class level.
Shamsi was the first choice spinner but the Protea management decided to select Maharaj instead which as I said in earlier post is an ace up the Protea sleeve.
About him as a spinner, well I can't work him out....neither can the Ozzies To me he is passive/ aggressive.....he is not an attacking spinner, neither is he a great turner of the ball and there's not a great deal of bounce either.What he does well is his line and length.....enough to bottle up one end and create pressure.

Never had the pleasure of seeing Tayfield. I'm comparing Maharaj to Daniel Vettori, Brad Hogg and Graeme Swan etc .....it's hard to place him.
