Sonny Bill Williams to join Sydney Roosters

If reports are correct, the greatest sensation since Jonah Lomu will be defecting to League as he will join the Sydney Roosters next year. He is currently contracted to the NZRU and Chiefs for 2012 and will see out that contract. The overhyped inside centre failed to make the grade throughout his time in Union and despite the intense media hype has been exposed. His technical flaws and poor sportsmanship will see this exit as a very minor loss to Union. The sooner he is forgotten the better.

Meow....Lol  We get the same sort of bitter comments about SBW in NZ but mostly from the jealous expat aussies and yarpies in our midst. SBW was prominent in the backline in the World Cup  pool games which led NZ to the final and he has recieved the WC winners medal so job done nothing left to prove.

 Next year SBW will be part of the World Champion Kiwi rugby league team vying for another World Championship title in 2013 to go with his World Champion medal from rugby and good luck to him i say. He is a humble guy that has also donated alot of money to help Christchurch after the devastating earthquake which speaks volumes about the guy in my book.

On what basis do you claim him to be a poor sportsman i would be interested to know ? And as far as technical flaws whatever that means...you could pick holes in anyones game could'nt you?

I hope he does'nt embarrass you to much when he plays against your SA teams now that you've given him such a negative rap...

Sonny did stuff all in an All BLack side that misfired. He was exposed from day one; I called this as early as the 2010 EOYT. I see though that you are intent on living in the dark ages, whatever makes life easier for you I suppose. As for jealousy, I wouldn't have him in my side; not for the Cheetahs and certainly not for the Boks. This clown is too flawed and one dimensional for test rugby.

A poor sportsman is one who uses dirty tactics when the going gets tough. He loves to use that shoulder charge to knock opponents heads-off. Another would be his rejection of fighting Lomu and the insults that followed. He later fought an old man on disability benefits. Sure I can pick holes in anyones game, but this loser offers very little for a centre.

Given the malicious tone of your postings you are obviously so biased against SBW that anything i say won't make any difference so we'll just let the season speak for it's self shall we.

Lomu was in no condition to fight anyone btw and was foolish to challenge SBW given he's had a kidney transplant and that does'nt make SBW a poor sportsman just cause he did'nt fight an invalid in some charity event.. As for shoulder charges i saw one only and i doubt you'll see any more lesson learnt i think but its something that is permitted in his former code rugby league.

Can't wait to see the Cheaters play the Chiefs though. Even with the Chiefs losing four players with major injuries in their first game they will still give your team a footy lesson they won't forget in a hurry so maybe save some of your vitriole til then...

SBW will be remembered for those brilliant off loads which others are trying to emulate.

His problem seems to be that he has no loyalty and will move from one thing to the next repeatedly with only what he perceives to be his interests guiding him.  Hence I doubt he will ever reach his potential. Chop an dchange chop and change.

Hope his next fight is against a boxer.

NZ have numerous question marks over their side as do we. It will be interesting to see the new look sides the new coaches put in place. I suspect the abs are going to find it very hard going.

That offload is easy to do. I used to do it sometimes as a schoolboy! And it's been done hundreds of thousands of times by many other players at all levels. You don't remember Big Joe doing it? Fransie set up Fourie with a try doing the same thing. The only thing is that sonny does it exclusively. If you cut off his support runners and wrap him up physically he becomes exposed as a painfully one dimensional player. He has no fight in him and loves to clutter up the ten channel being the glory boy. I think of him as New Zealand's Luke Watson. 

Probably from a business perspective, he pulls in more fans and crowds and lady viewers for that matter.  He has some great skills but as Aristokrat pointed out a one dimensional player. His game is suited to the game of league. This is the professional era, I dont think if it was the amateur era he'd be in the ABs, but this game is also about money. From a rugby fan point of view, im glad to see him go.  Your personal life reflects your professional work life.  Just look he's already got another Mrs already.
