 Sonny Bill Williams is misunderstood and unfairly critiqued. He is a freakish talent but more importantly is totally committed to whatever he puts his mind to.

 actually Aristokrat haha this is the title of a piece written by  Justin Marshall - I have never actually read the piece but I did think there was truth in it! I am still to find the piece though - one thing about Justin is that he is as one eyed about his rugby commentating as kearns for Fox TV and just as irritating!

SBW is actually playing very well for the Chiefs I might add and soon to come to the SA leg of their tour. That will probably be the acid test for the Chiefs pack but with Rene coaching and Wayne Smith mentoring and the way the Chiefs are functioning with their youngsters, things are looking good but I digress! People actually thought that once SBW goes away from the tight structure of the Crusaders he might flounder but again he has proved people wrong - Justin might be right afterall - have to find that article!

I'm not actually impressed by him. The Blues game for instance, he was not as much of a factor. Still defensively flawed and still very one-dimensional, same as last year. Not many 12s are playing well this year to be honest.

 The next test for Pat McCabe's reconstructed shoulder could be a mouth-watering clash against All Blacks and Chiefs second five Sonny Bill Williams.

The hard-running back wasn't daunted about a possible clash with Williams, but he knows he'll have his hands full. Whoever is up against him will need to be mindful of the Kiwi's ability to offload in the tackle, which can tear opposition defences apart.

'It'd be a good way to get back into the centres to have a good test like that,' McCabe said.

'A lot of it's what the guys do around you because he's got such a good offloading game that everyone has got to be on their toes. But otherwise it's just like any other player and you want to shut down their space and time as much as you can.'
