South Africa bound

We are all delighted to hear from you and hope you have a wonderful visit.   I would say even if it is a 17 day visit - you have to take time out to go to the Kruger National Park - it is really wonderful to be in largely unspoilt nature with the wild animals roaming around.
The second place to visit is Cape Town - still regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.   It is the environment that makes it special and you must see the place if at all possible.  In South Africa all people calls it the Mother City - a term of endearment.   
I live just noth of Dunban in a small village called Tinley Manor Beach.  Would like to emet you if you come to Durban - leave a message as to your accommodation and I will contact you.
Have fun and I am sure you look forward to the visit.       

 I'd check out what fixtures the Lions and the Bulls have during your stay and see which one entices you more. But I'd be inclined to watch the Lions over the Bulls as the former plays more attractive rugby.

A Cape Town trip is in the works. It will be tough, but we're going to give it a try.

The games I see will be dictated by the schedule. Anyone know when next seasons schedule comes out?

 Canrugby did you see the Maoris vs Canada game in Toronto ? My Daughter was going to go but couldnt swing the time off work .

I'm in Vancouver so I didn't get to go to the game. If I remember correctly though we played them quite well for most of the game, but couldn't keep it up for the whole 80. That game was quite a while ago now, wasn't it?

Miss Cape Town and you miss the best that South Africa has to offer ....  beaches, mountains, beautiful hikes, great food, shopping, entertainment. As a rugby fan, the Springbok museum at the waterfront is worth a look. 
If you are thinking of going to Kruger, consider renting a place in Marloth Park for a couple nights - there are many houses available and you have wildlife all around you and its usually cheaper than options in Kruger - its also very close to the Crocodile Bridge entrance at the south of Kruger which is in my opinion the best place to find wildlife in Kruger.

And then some more ;-)

Hope you have a very enjoyable holiday Canrugby. Mike is right, Kruger is a must although it's better in the dry season when animal spotting is easier before the vegetation grows and hides the animals.

Cape Town is an absolute must, hire a car and take a long drive along the coast to Gordon's Bay, then continue along the coast to Rooi Els, Herm a nus and Arniston. I promise you you'll never regret it.

Then other trips out to the winelands, Stellenbosch, Franchshoek and surrounds. I know this part well.

Restaurants in these regions are outstanding...seafoods especially...the best in the world, ask Mozart...

I know your time is limited but where Ol' Mike is also beautiful and he sounds a nice and hospitable guy to meet. Salt Rock, the beach is great...my wife and I enjoyed it immensely.
