South Africa Embarrasses Itself Again

Wallaby prop Taniela Tupou was robbed yesterday evening outside the team hotel, receiving cuts to his arm. Police believe it was connected to a series of attacks on the same night. W hat a wonderful picture this paints for other would-be visitors of the country. In the past I have spoken to numerous people in China who expressed a curiosity about South Africa, but were afraid of its reputation as a dangerous place. I couldn't imagine being that curious about SA, and felt embarrassed that I had to acknowledge that my home country wasn't as safe or hospitable as theirs.

Arnold Swartegger was also recently attacked. That time it was just a flying kick where the assailant appeared to land on his head.

There were 53 murders in the Western Cape last weekend, 33 of them in the Cape Flats alone. All the victims were either shot or knifed.

What is all the talk about crime about?   In Riversdale where I live there is near to zero crime  - bit that is why one should avoid Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria like the plague.

One cannot really appreciate how bad the situation in the cities are,   So bad - that they are sending the army into the suburbs where gangs have taken control.   Due to Zuma's doings  nobody trust the Police not to be in league with the ganga,   They are by some residents regarded as being even worse than the gangs,   The gang bosses are known - but no arrests and no convictions.

Things are getting rougher by the week and  the upcoming one is doing to be worse.   Tomorrow Zuma has to appear before the Zondo Commission.   Zuma has organized thousands of idiots to go to Johannesburg from KZN to protest against the Commission at its headquarters in Parktown.   There will obviously be chaos.

The ANC has become a crime syndicate themselves and Ramaphosa cannot do anything to save that lot.
