If England wins this weekend, Boks would drop back down. Although Boks should start as favourites.

Finishing the year at 1st would be a good confirmation of best team in the world - following the World Cup win 2 years ago.

You will be crucified on this site  by some of the members .   According to them the Springbok coaching is substandard and some of the top players in the team are BS.     Thankls for the info anyway.

So over the course of the year the Boks have lost 2.37 points, while the ABs have gained 1.07 points. Clearly the best team this year was the ABs. The Boks are still benefitting from 2019.

If the Boks win, and the All Blacks lose it could go back to a similar points difference from after the world cup.

The Boks are the best side given their Lions series win and beating NZ

The real blunder was losing to Oz twice thanks to Rassie not being there in person

They only beat NZ because  Rassie wasn’t there in corpulent person….gosh Dave do you like every fattie?

After the WC in 2019 Mozart claimed that the AB's were the ebst team in the world an that the Springboks did not deserve to have won the WC.    The above issue raised by him is in similar mode and that is where the silliness being kept going by Mozart.

One cannot dispute the ruthlessness and incredible ability of any All Blacks team.... they have been phenomenal over the last 30 years..... especially between world cups.

We are the current world champions...…  rightfully and deservedly so

Now that was what we were asking for. Not the dull tactics that barely won the Welsh test, but a softening up followed by some excellent running rugby. Perhaps the Welsh test was a rope a dope tactic, or perhaps Rassie realized we had to take a few chances.

The test was won with the massive defensive stand in the first half.....and by the Beast's total destruction of Coles. He did it in  the British Lions series as well. So many questioned his selection ahead of Kitshoff, but he is the best loosehead in the game.

Vermeulen was, however, the rightful man of the match. Massive brave runs, secure kickoff receptions.....unmoveable on the deck. And there were those who wanted a Deysel twin.

Losing Lomp for Mostert, was no problem either, as Mostert was huge in the goal line defence.

Big games also by Etzebeth, Malherbe, and even Kolisi.

And really all the backs were good today. Allende was solid apart from a bad miss on May in the English in  goal. Am showed great touch in the Mapimpi try. And while Kolbe's try was huge, even better was his  smother tackle on Lawes when England had a big overlap. Willie found his mojo  with one smart early break and fine general fullback play.

But defence was the core of this win.....England, who made a huge mistake playing Ford against this Bok defence, simply had no clue what to do by the second half. They needed Farrell at 10 and Tuilagi at 12. But by the time they made the switch, the Boks were dominant

I was delighted that we were able to score two fine tries to underscore the win.....something we were criticized for not doing in our other WCs. Scoring those tries provided the high the crowd needed.

Our return to success has come  from a rejection of the expansive game and a return to traditional Bok rugby.....with massive defence and physicality. But while last week's performance was dull and risk averse.......today we added the second bit......subdue and then penetrate!

Well done Rassie that was a master  class. If the Boks stick with this formula we can get back to where we were before our banning.....top dog.

Had Rassie been in Oz we would have beaten Oz both times Implying nobody Neinaber is a better coach than Rassie is not only laughable it’s insulting The Boks keep winning when Rassie is with them and that’s a fact

                      Mozart

That was after the game - but what was very different was what followed that posting.  Barely a week later the criticism started and the howling that the English team as substandard - that the AB's should be the WC winners after beating SA in the Round Robin game, etc.

The hole story of Mozart was done in because Mostert was also bad in tackling - [people h e tackled went forward and had to be restrained by other player - while he spilled a critical ball when the Springboks was on attack and most of the critical tackles were made by other players - not him.    His performance was average at best.    There was no way that De Allende could tackle May in the in goal area and the description Mozart gave later on was discussed in detail and he was caught out misrepresenting what happened.

Then he claimed that the English and a mistake and Farrell should have been at flyhalf and  Tuilagi at center.    Farrell was moved to flyhalf for about  30. minutes and was NO better than Ford.   Fact is the English backline attacks were neutralized by Du Toit and De Allende in the main.
