I have just listened to a Rob Houwig interview on news 24......doom and gloom. All three participants were doom and gloom. Mallett is always doom and gloom. And apparently HM hasn't been at his chirpiest this week.
For heaven sake. After years of kicking South Africa home at the death Steyn finally blows one. Cut the guy some slack....he was trying to get the Boks out of the danger zone, and he finally made a mistake. He isn't "damned for all time" to quote Judas in Superstar.
As for the selection of Pollard. More doom and gloom. We don't stand a chance these worthies opine....but chances were perhaps slim before this change, at least in their minds. So what does it matter.
The fact is we are going to put a team of highly talented professionals on the park, who had Australia beaten for 78 minutes last week. Go for it! If that team decides it is only going to be beaten over their dead bodies....it will be close. Close enough that if fate is on our side for once, we could win....pessimism be damned.
