This is life in our country ATM...we're still quite safe in CT and the rest of the Western Cape, but I can see it deteriorating by the day...we need armed guards to escort our workers on freeways in the Cape Metro area...if your car break down in some areas, you're in real danger...10 years ago we worked in these areas at night time, without any issues...the ANC failed this country in the worst possible way.

Where I live in Riversdale crime is minimal and of a minor nature.   Unfortunately house pices is increasing because people fled from other parts of SA to the town and  one of the Estate Agents told me that they7 have a waiting list of over 300 people waiting for homes becoming available for sale.   The problem is that the people wishing to buy homes in the town and other small towns like Heidelberg and Albertinia cannot sell their homes in their present area and prices is way below real value.    So their ability to buy homes locally reduced to near to zero.   

Homes in the coastal towns in the Municipal area - Stilbaai, Jongensfontein, Witsand and Gouritzriviermond  is for the ultra-rich only.   A beachfront home in Stilbaai was sold recently for R22 million.   Another one went for R90 million - but the site in question next to the boat launch site comprises of three units used by one family.           

I have family in Welkom. Lukas' dad had a garden service back then when he was selected for the Boks. The toppie was mega proud of him.

We need to start claiming our right to mob justice too.

These crims get torched in the ghettos and the "cops" barely try to investigate. And that's when they've been caught thieving, raping, or being otherwise criminal.

Every country has it's crime issues but ours is always coupled with death and violence. It's not enough that they steal from the other guy, they also have to murder him or rape his wife.

One easy solution to get them would be to stay true to SA justice system.

Offer these criminals immunity as long as they come out of the woods, denounce themselves and register theirs actions on a paper or something.

Liberals have enforced a resolution of the Apartheid era that left scars. People who did worse were offered to walk freely in exchange of confessing theirs crimes. Liberals have made injustive one of theirs ideals. It has a price.

At least everyone was safe under apartheid. The blacks can necklace each other all day with kangaroo courts justice where doesn't really exist, but they were kept out of white areas.

Then they cannot feed and house their extended families, so they demand more from the government, like water and lights, after putting up a shack 5 km in the bush away from all current infrastructure.

When there isn't a quick resolution to the no water and electricity, from their voted in government, they will blockade the roads and stone the passing vehicles to prove their intentions to the government, and in doing so often injure and kill innocent people.

When the government cannot provide, then do the next best thing.... steal and kill from the next one who has what they want and need.... but they don't just take the TV, Cellphone and Laptop...no..... they torture, rape and completely destroy families...

Look from the Transkei to the Eastern Cape towards Cape Town....the towns are becoming absolutely unsafe and disgusting.... and there is only one common denominator...

We have death squads terrorizing ESKOM employees....you cannot justify the atrocities of the present by highlighting what happened in the past.
