Is it not ridiculous.Getting hammered 88-0 by the lions,38-13 by the Sharks and the Stormers and still insisting on inclusion in Super rugby.They could not even beat Boland in the Currie Cup 1st division.If anything they should play a promotion/relegation match a against the bottom S.A franchise.Aforementioned team will still be much to strong.
It's a laughable exercise in political sport. Not all leagues give bottom feeders a chance to survive by playing a relegation match. But even less teams are promoted while winning nothing......embarrassing really.
I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about the Kings without a throne. SARU is to be blamed of course, once again they've proven themselves unprofessional. The proposal should have been knocked on the head until such time as the Kings proved themselves against local opponents and also until they had the backing of SANZAR. Outside of South Africa no-one cares about Quotas and Transformation whatever, by all accounts this move is motivated by that agenda.
Best the queens should be able to hope for is a relegation match to make the Currie CUp.!!
What a bunch of opportunists. I hear these guys are saying Lions and Cheetahs have not performed so they should be given a chance. Well firstly there are other sides in the Currie Cup ahead of them (As well as Boland in the Vodacom Cup) and secondly there is absolutely noting to suggest they would have done any better thanCheetahs or Lions!!!!!!!!!!!!
