Though I know you hate my guts - welcome back home.  May you have a nice time in Camps Bay and may you enjoy the summer here.   There are cricket matches against Pakistan going today and on Sunday - try and get to look at those.

Thanks OOM. I must say CT is glowing. The air snaps and sparkles and the world comes to visit. Last night at Baia on the Waterfront we had  to wait an inordinate time for their famous langoustines as droves of European and Chinese diners clogged up the kitchen. What happened to the off season? 
I must say massive progress is evident in the wines, particularly the the Sauvignon Blanc   options. We tried a Cape Point vintage a few days back...much better than the old Graham Beck  standby.
But mostly it's just nice to meet the folks. Contrary to some, the people in CT are charming, in all their varieties.

 Exactly so Moz. You tell those oaks from the north who love nothing more than to take a pot shot as us Capies. Do have lunch at the Hohenort it is charming.The Cape is looking stunning as always and is a premier tourist destination. 
Oh that those K iwis could travel here and experience the culuture and refinement!

Try out a Boschendal Sauvignon blanc - it really is a very good wine in my opinion. Incidentally Jean de Villiers ancestors was involved in the Boschendal estate.


I have recently been reading up on the Cape history and it may be of interest to you to visit the Martin Melck house and Koopmans De Wet house in Strand Street if you have not been to see it before.  From a cultural and historic perspective very interesting and you may like it.

It is gonna snow! Mike and Moz have just chatted without any insults whatsoever. This truly is the new South Africa!!! 
I have lived in Gauteng my whole life, but I love cape Town! With the exception of Knysna (The Heads), it is the most beautiful part of the country.

 and if you have some spare time then do visit the D6 Museum. With a bit of luck they'll have picture of my late father on display(I was told the pics get changed after a period of time)

 

 

But say, it's not hard to enjoy the Cape....like a chilled summer white, it's always waiting to be enjoyed!
