Beeno

I do not wich to cause problems on this site - but what I wanted to ask for is if you can look carefully at the plays leading to and resuling in the injury of Goosen.   I look at the incidents carefully - especially since Read said they are going to target Goosen and wanted to ascertain whether the incidents was not cauuse deliberately in an effort to make sure that Goosen is out of the game.

There were two incidents - the one where the initial injury happened and the second one when it was apparently aggravated.   In both cases  an All Black player did not try to protect the ball in the hands of the tackled player - they went for Goosen and actually fell on top of him at least a meter from where the ball was. - the way in which it was done was to bend his knee in a way that he could not possibly escape injury.

I wanted you to look at the incidents  frame by frame to make up your own mind whether I am seeing something that was in fact not the case.    Please have a careful look and come back to the Board to indicate whether my interpretation is correct or not.

Poi-e

You may try and make a joke of it - but I am really suspicious about the incidents.   I looked it the incidents carefully and became suspicious about the situation.   I am not saying I am correct - I am saying that I saw something I really did not like at all.

Have a careful look at the incidents and you will no doubt see what I meant.   Let me repeat in both cases it involve tackles made by Goosen and in both cases an All Black player fell on him and did not even try to protect the ball.

Mike, can you tell me the 2 incidents you are talking about?

The only time I can see Goosen getting injured is in the 24th minute. Conrad Smith runs down the left flank on about half way and puts a grubber kick back infield. Kieran Reid follows through and as Goosen approaches the ball from the opposite direction, Reid dives forward to get there first and manages to flick the ball back. At that time he collides with the lower half of Goosen obviously hyper-extending his knee.

That's where he suffered his game ending injury and In your wildest dreams and "grassy knoll" theories you couldn't say that was deliberate!

If there was another incident, please enlighten me as I've missed it completely.

You have got to be joking, I know you're the head of the Johan Goosen fanboy association but to suggest the AB's deliberately tried to injure him out of the game wreeks of the typical veiled anti AB's horseshit you normally spout off.  He was choking up a storm anyways, if anything the AB's would wanted to keep him on given his vulnerabilities the exposed.

To date the only player I've seen in this Rugby Championship trying to deliberately injure someone out of a match has worn green and white, and was banned for it.

You seem hell bent on joining Baboon ou in the tin foil hat wearing brigade...

 clevermike

I took another look at the match you're referring to and can confirm there is no foul play or deliberate aggression towards your goosen. At precisely 24min & 21sec Reid scoops up the ball and turns towards his outside player in full flight to pass . At the same time reid's back makes contact with goosen's knee which is extended towards reid in an attempt to support himself (goosen ) and in so doing stop reid progressing further.Reids momentum forces him to crash into goosen legs whom he does not face at time of impact and goosen crumbles down . At 24min.35sec goosen is again running back and falls down on the 22m, play continues and at about 25 / 26 min mark goosen is seen again on the ground at the 5mtr mark with a medic.

As whitelock  charges towards the try line goosen gets up and attempts to stop him. bad decision No2, Goosen gets flattened backwards again and injures himself some more.

I replayed the whole scene in slow mo to capture the entire event. So sorry to disappopint you, matey but the All Blacks did not intentionally injure your hero. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Nzbro All Black

Thanks for the info.

I am downloading the game again and am going to check up the info provided.   However, the original injurry was caused quite earlier than you indicated and it was obviously aggravated by the instances you mentioned.   Will check it out again and come back to you - hope I am wrong and will admit so openly if I am.

I dont know which "original" injury "you're referring to. As far as I can see goosen was 100% before and up to contact with reids back 24.21sec into the match.

Thanks for the info provided.   I watched every incident involving Goosen in the game and could find nothing wrong in the conduct of either Read or Whitelock in this particular case.   The last incident - where Frank fell on top of him after he made a rackle - ie just before he left the field - I think was due to rank stupidity on the part of the latter - not dirty play at all.

I any offence was caused I apologize for it.

Yeah right Beano, try and pin the injuries of Bismarck and Burger on the All Blacks as well. The All Blacks obviously decided that the only way to beat the Bokke was to get rid of those two, so they told the Hurricanes to take out Burger in the first S15 game of the season, back in February. Of course they knew that his rehab would go according to plan. Their next move was to get the Argentinians to take out Bismarck in their first test aganst SA in Cape Town.

There are a few members who are easy meat for the Kiwi supporters, on this board, with the stuff you come up with, and then the rest of the Saffers on the board are judged by the same yardstick.

Chippo. Years ago Supersport had a sports forum as well, that they closed down. Our friend here used to post on there, and at that time he once named a Springbok Team. Guess who he had as his flankers. Solly and Tiybilika. Hahahahaha. I guess that says it all.

Goosen was injured going into that game. He got injured against Oz and it was clear early on in the NZ test that he was not comfortable.

He was not fit to play against NZ I suspect

Chippo apologies. Someone at one stage I seem to recall said they were using Bongi as another posting name. Do you recall anything like that?

Rooitwit/jallopy  you will command an atom of respect once you come out of the closet - stop hiding away like a frightened mouse!

Bwahahahahahahaha can you credit it a typo where I said Solly and tybs is still remembered to this day. It comes with being a legend they hang on your every word!!!

Now Bongi what was your posting name on supersport. Man it is weird how afraid some little people are. Nobody is going to bite you if you identify yourself!! Here we have pooo , bongi and jallopy all afraid to tell us who they really are. Contrast thsi to Moz, Beeno, Mike, Denny etc who happily display their normal posting  names.

Bye the way Bongi get your facts right - I never ever chose wee Solly as a Bok flanker - in fact I warned all his half baked fans he was no Bok flanker and guess what - Beeno was proved correct yet again.  Hahhahahahaha - Beeno enjoying the last laugh
