My thoughts on the loss. I think SA looked lost in the headlights. They don't play Japan that often. And I think selecting an under strength squad, they took Japan too lightly, therefore were not prepared for the onslaught. But I have some concerns about this team. You could argue, this could fire a light under the Boks, and they well go on and win the whole damn thing haha. Look at 2011, France lost to Tonga and made the final, so any thing is possible. Or there is not enough depth in the squad, and the boks are just bringing there poor RC form into the showpiece of rugby. De Jager was a standout though, wow what a player. Why did he come off? Matfeild lol, sorry he is a legend but wow if the Japanese tight five and push him aside like paper imagine what the Abs, Aussies, or Englands well do to him. He is a liability imo. Jean tried hard but he is past his prime imo. Some of the players were just passengers. Kriel at 13 for me and 12 is De Allende. And never ever take off De Jager ever again!!!

Problem 3k is that the team fielded was Meyer's best.

Meyer will not let go of matfiled. His subbing of Lood shows how tight a grip the show pony has on poor meyer. Meyer is under the spell of the con man. Yes if meyer makes the most of his poorly selected squad we could make the quarters yet. But I am not raising my hopes.
We do not have the brain power at the helm and whilst they may get lucky and be forced into better slections by fate one cant count on that happening. Its really late in the day now.
Meyer is so predictable the other coaches are also likely to have our number.
We need a miracle. Perhaps the old Bok fight in adversity will re appear?

I WELL HONESTLY say SA should be kicking our ass, the amount of player depth you guys have. Well maybe not kick our ass lol, but beat us more often. No way SA should of lost to Japan. I think Meyer got outcoached, he may bet outcoached by QF if they get that far too. Samoa well be tough for them too.
