Springbok captain Siya Kolisi says he 'didn't feel respected at all' by referee Nic Berry in first Lions Test

This was of course very evident from Rassie's outstanding clip.

Ex SKY News

Siya Kolisi: "I don't really want to get into it to be honest. I don't want to get involved in that, I just didn't feel I was given the same access to the referee." (NOBODY WHO HAS WATCHED THE CLIP AND IS FAIR MINDED CAN DENY THIS STATEMENT). Watch second South Africa vs British & Irish Lions Test live on Sky Sports Lions from 3pm on Saturday (kick-off 5pm)

The Springboks have further inflamed tensions ahead of the second British and Irish Lions Test by doubling down on Rassie Erasmus' social media rant. (WELL DONE RASSIE PLEASE DONT BE MOVED BY THESE SQUEALING ROGUES)

South Africa captain Siya Kolisi has confirmed he felt disrespected by referee Nic Berry in last weekend's first Test in Cape Town where the Lions prevailed 22-17.

And assistant coach Mzwandile Stick has accused the Lions of "destroying the dignity of the series" by starting the war of words that led to Boks boss Erasmus' 62-minute monologue criticizing referee Berry.(Absolutely correct Stick)

New Zealander Ben O'Keeffe will referee Saturday's second Test under mounting pressure given the off-field criticism, with South Africa opting only to increase still further the scrutiny on the officials.( Bwhahahaha they started it by whining about Joubert. Berry's display demanded a response)

"I didn't feel respected at all, I didn't feel I was given a fair opportunity," said Kolisi.

"But I'm looking forward to a new game and a new referee.

"I think Ben (O'Keeffe) will give a fair opportunity for both captains, and that's all we're asking."

Asked in what ways he had been disrespected, Kolisi continued: "Did you watch the video? Watch that and then we can chat afterwards.

"I don't really want to get into it to be honest. I don't want to get involved in that, I just didn't feel I was given the same access to the referee.

"If you watch the game again you'll definitely be able to see.(Unless you are a one eyed Rassie hater)

"But it's already happened, I don't want to speak too much about it, it's not going to change anything."

Erasmus offered to stand down from his rugby director role in his wide-ranging, unprecedented attack on referee Berry on Thursday.(Hardly unprecedented as a criticism of a ref but about the best exposure of poor reffing I have seen!! Pure class!!)

World Rugby has sought an explanation from SA Rugby over Erasmus' comments, but the global governing body has so far stopped short of launching an investigation.

South Africa chose to stand by Erasmus' video and its content on Friday however, with assistant coach Stick insisting the Lions had already damaged relations.

The Lions had raised objections to South African Marius Jonker being appointed Television Match Official (TMO) for the first Test after New Zealander Brendon Pickerill's travel was disrupted by coronavirus.

Lions bosses were fearful of Jonker's ability to maintain neutrality when officiating over his countrymen.

And Stick has insisted that is where all the off-field problems started in this Lions series.

"Let's go on the build-up where firstly the integrity of World Rugby was challenged by another human being when Marius Jonker was appointed TMO," said Stick.

"And then Gatland on the other side went crazy, and was asking World Rugby and challenging them about the decision they had made.

"Everyone knows we are living during challenging times, living during Covid, and the other gentleman couldn't travel to South Africa because of Covid protocols.

"And the fact that was publicly challenged by another coach on the other side, and still to this day I haven't had any statement from that side apologising about it. (EXACTLY!)

"I haven't had any statement from World Rugby either, we're not asking for any favours, we just want equal grounds.(THE LIONS WHINGERS ONLY WANT NH AND PARTICULARY BRITISH REFS)

"I wouldn't like the whole series to be about decisions taken by the officials, or about the coaches off the field.

"Even if things are being said in social media or a traditional media conference, it's still the media. All coaches want to get their messages across.

"He (Erasmus) wanted to state his as his own personal view, it had nothing to do with us as a team.

I think it would be appropriate for rooitwit, moz and the org to apologize for their response to all this given hwo it was fueled by the psychotic dislike of Erasmus and not any reason.  Another basic factor is some oaks need to grow a spine and not be in the least fazed by the crooks of the game and their supporters saying you are whining because you lost. Personally that approach only adds to my contempt for these turncoats masquerading as Bok supporters. What Rassie did was long overdue! As to losing, these were  large number of penalties and two tip tackles that were wrongly adjudicated, enough to comfortably win the game for the Boks.  The blatant and penalizable errors committed right in front of the ref should mean an investigation into Berry. Its all about being rational, and thinking clearly. Bwahahahahhahahahahahaha

Well Kolisi is hardly respected on this Board…what else is new, other than you falling for the race card. Never thought I’d see the day HasBeen. Have you lost all your marbles?

Typical South African behaviour - Fight and argue - Shit on each other when one does not get their own way - it looks like Rassie has plenty of others following his shit example.

Don't worry Canterbury we have plenty of shit to go around for you too. As Kolisi says, you (all) need to respect us.

Typical SJW bleeding heart narrative. I've commented many times on Kolisi's passive and timid presence. He hangs around the leaders like a nervous schoolboy. He is not a leader, he isn't even a good player. He needs to be assertive. Do you think Gregan stood around hoping the ref would hand him a lollipop and give him a nice pat on the head? You make your presence known. Kolisi is weak and Josè Erasmus is now souring the series with racist undertones. He knows exactly what he is doing. I always thought of him as a below average coach who didn't have the nerve to take ownership, now I'm beginning to see something far worse.

Rassie’s turning into a complete embarrassment for Bok rugby sadly. He’s completely lost the plot and has obviously ordered poor old Kolisi to mouth off as well. This will turn the officials against the Boks and could badly backfire on them.

"Well Kolisi is hardly respected on this Board…"

Then it's this board's problem, not his...he didn't make himself caiptain...again, it's about the rank, not the person.

He's doing what needs to be done ATM, with total disregard for his own interests...rather selfless IMO.

We're a nation of blubbering crybabies.

"Sniff . . . it's all so unfair . . . the refs are so mean and horrid to us . . . boohoohoo . . . and the naughty TMOs don't like us either . . . everyone's against us . . . sniff . . . sob . . . and now they don't respect us either . . . blub . . . sob . . . it's all so unfair . . . boohoohoo . . . watch the video . . . sniff . . ."

I mean really, if you don't feel a bit embarrassed then you're probably one of the snivelling excuse-makers telling everyone to watch the pathetic video while demanding respect.

I'm almost tempted to say "Go Lions!".

"his...he didn't make himself caiptain...again, it's about the rank, not the person."

He didn't make himself captain, but he didn't have to accept. Once upon a time Chiliboy declined a Bok call up because he felt it was a token selection. Jake had to assure him it wasn't. I can respect that.

Oh Rooitwit repeating his act yet again. The drooling loon will never defend the Boks against foul play.

He is a Líons supporter and of course supports Wales. Not sure who he supports after that but it is probably nz.

Redrooi is a nasty  commie and would do well in nz governed as it is by a Marxist Globalist  PM.

His complicated set of ethics evolved from the lamprey.

"The lamprey looks like an eel, but it has a jawless sucking mouth that it attaches to a fish. ... The hagfish is also know as the slime fish. It is eel-like and pinkish in color. It has glands along its sides that produce a thick, sticky slime that it uses as a defense mechanism."

Rudeneck to a tee....only envious bile missing.
