Over the past months of watching Springbok rugby I have become more and more discontent with the selections of Heyneke Meyer.
I am a firm believer that every player reaches a limit as to what they can achieve, and no matter how much you try to change the fundamental skills they possess, it simply isn't going to happen.
I am therefor against the continued selection of players that have been there, done that, and long ago thrown the T-shirt away.
Over the past month I have been making a list of who I believe have the potential and necessary skills to become stars in the future, granted some need work, but this list is of players younger than 25 for the most part, most younger than 23 years of age.
We know Overseas clubs are forever poking around, leaving no stone unturned in the search for either the next bargain, or the next qualified player to ultimately represent their nations.
Here is my list, you may not agree on all of them, but I believe we will benefit from SARU centrally contracting these players and working to develop and expose them to international rugby if not now, then after the RWC.
