Springbok Player assessment against Australia

 The Beasts hands are terrible, when he dropped that ball 5m from Australia's line I almost lost it. Reminiscent of the Wales EOYT last year. 
Pienaar did make two good runs, but everything else was poor and the rating is correct. 
What rating did you give Vermeulen? He was awesome.

Sorry - I made a mistake there - I originally thought to give Vermeuen 7/10 - but he got carried away and gave away two penalties.   He missed too many tackles as well  - he missed 4 out of 17 tackle attempts.  Maybe I was too harsh on him and I have now changed ghis assessment to 6/10.

 Ha ha so predictable Mike. I could have told you before the game that your ratings for Morne, Victor, Jannie, Cornal and co would all be sub 4's!!
Morne easily won the kicking battle. SA easily won the kicking battle.. Thats what put us in that strong position to win. A serious of dubious reffing calls (hell there was a few in the Argies v AB's game too) and a brain explosion to send Habana off really stretched a very tired Bok team. 
Not great use of the bench from Heynecke. Excellent use of the bench from Ewen!
Boks were out on their feet and replacement players had no impact! Yet we still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Morne really messed up by missing touch. He didnt need any distance on the kick. We were 5 metres from our tryline. He needed to put the ball out around the 40m mark. Just a 35m gain which is a little chip by his standards. That would have allowed Habana back on and the Boks ball. We take around a min to walk to the lineout making the time around 78 mins. From there, we go to the front of the lineout and the ball stays with the forwards for 2 mins. Close the game out. Morne went for the miracle 50+ metre gain and it was a poor decision and even worse execution which is what you get from a tired player. Morne should have been experienced enough to know that but the much fresher Pat Lambie should have been tasked with putting that ball into touch!
I was cursing Morne last night after that too believe me but in all honesty, he didnt have a bad game. I saw one moment of really weak defence from him where he was run right through and never slowed the man down but truth be told, he was instrumental in putting us in a position to win that game. He dictated play for long periods in that game.
Its time that Heynecke looks at either of Juan De Jongh, Paul Jordaan or Sbura' Sithole at 13. Jan Serfontein was solid defensively but he offers no cohesion on attack. We need a live wire there. Juan De Jongh needs to be given a series of games instead of the usual one offs he gets. He needs to be allowed to settle into the position because he is our best 13 at the moment.
Anyway, with this result last night, this all but wraps up the 2014 edition in NZL's favour..

Hahaha....in Rugby 365 TOW we have....Jannie du Plessis and Cornell Hendricks. Bubbling under we have Victor. So let's look at the ratings from a biased fool for these three standout players.,....3, 4 and 3. What a laugh! 

 When looking at the game a second time I thhink Jannie was a 6 - and Crincke Paper Matfield a 2,5.  That is more or less nearer the mark.    I have problems with Hendricks defence though and that remains my conviction.  However, he did score a try so let put him at 5,5.
Matfield a stand out player - any body who thinks that  has an asshole for a brain.

Not according to five independent experts. Two of the five chose Thrush, two chose Matfield and one chose Whitelock. Maybe de Kooning gets the tie breaker. But Victor was basically a TOW alternative. Not ....lol....a three, you old fool.

The diuds you get everywhere - when a writer writes the truth about Cricnkle Paper you crap all over him - but when they come up with crap they are correct.   But Victor was basically a TOW alternative - what a sick joke.
You are still too cowardly to answer why the rolling maul went absent with Crinckle Paper in the Tight 5.   So what will happen if Cricnckle Paper is selected for Saturday - the scrums will go awry on the side he is scrumming in and the rolling mauls will be the prrivilege of the All blacks and not the Springboks.   His tackles will be even weaker than they were on Saturday and more players will just bump him out of the way - also as happened on  Saturday.
There are enough hyoe about that show pony to fill the rugby world.   If he and Morne and Ruan is in the team we are going to lose b ig time on Saturday.
