The following team was announced iro the game against Japan:-
15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Lwazi Mvovo, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Jean de Villiers (captain), 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Pat Lambie, 9 Ruan Pienaar, 8 Schalk Burger, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Victor Matfield, 4 Lood de Jager, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Tendai Mtawarira

Substitutes:
16 Adriaan Strauss, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Coenie Oosthuizen, 19 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 20 Siya Kolisi, 21 Fourie du Preez, 22 Handre Pollard, 23 JP Pietersen

Elsewhere there is a thread dealing with the Springboks "aim to control pace of game"  With that lot they will not control and "pace".   They are lucky they are only playing Japan - any stronger team would ebat that team with ease.
So lets look at the team objectively:-
*  Kirchner is at the best of times useless and clueless.    No attacking moves from the back possible.
*   De Villiers has one bench game and one full game since his return from injury.  In both he was severely "under-cooked" and slower than eh used to be.
*   Pienaar was really pathetic in the games he played in in June - clueless kicks and slow service with defense a joke
*   Alberts has been utterly useless for years
*   Matfield will destroy the Tight 5 - normal style
*   Pieterse on the bench - slow and utterly useless
*   Coenie has not had a game for months - so maybe a bench start is what happened here to see how he is going to go.
THis is really funny and tragic.  The average age of WC winning teams are somewhere between 27 - 28 years of age.  Meyer's team for Saturday is really a joke:-
*   Starting line-up  :   30,2 *   Bench                  :   26,6*   Total                    :    29,8
I hope they beat Japan - but a win by less than 12 points will be a disaster insofar as the WC campaign is concerned.

If you even expect a win by less than 12 points, you certainly haven't seen any of Japan's results over the last 12 months.
The rest I won't even comment on as most of it is complete drivel.
Also, the All Blacks' average age is the same as ours, or older, and I don't see them bitching about it. But then again, they don't have this inexplicable rage against their coach and/or players.

Welcome back - Desert Fox - you have selected a new username difficult to play the fool with - but you remain a biased member - who is stuck with hatred of a list of players a mile long.  How is it possible you did not go for Lambie as yet?  Just wondering why?

I really have no idea who desert fox is mate.
And I'm not the one with hatred towards any players. Your Matfield posts do speak for themselves, though. Maybe your hatred list is even longer than my santa request list.
