Only two changes to the starting line-up - Combrinck and Whiteley - and three on the bench - Kitshoff, Jaco Kriel and Mvovo.   I think this is a stronger line-up than was the case in the first two tests.

Look the quota is here to stay and it's going to become more prominent in the future. I'm just glad that some, not all, of the talent that we have all been rooting for are getting an opportunity.God I hope Jaco kicks ass!!!

This is a much better team. Ruan Combrink brings extra firepower out wide on attack- and he offers much more on defence.  His counter-attacking ability will also make the opposition think twice about kicking into the "mvovo" corner

Glad Lood is not in the 23, is he still injured? would have liked Kitshoff to have started.

What is the utterly useless Mvovo doing on the bench for crying out loud

And what is the equally useless Louw doing ahead of Kriel at 6

Wake up Coetzee

Best team so far! Not perfect, and I agree with dave here, Mvovo should piss off back to the Sharks, and Kriel should be starting, but at least our line-up is getting better every week.

Boks on the rise. I hope we see a more complete game this weekend. I agree this is a stronger team.

For years Dave was the biggest Mvovo supporter on this Board....moz the biggest detractor. Now suddenly Dave is incensed because Mvovo is on the bench.....be careful what you ask for.

What is dim dave's big pick Kolisi doing in the team!  He needs a 75% improvement to justify his selection. Quota pick and dim dave's pick as well.

No I don't I want someone with heart and fight. I don't buy into the media hype or your or any of the man/boy love for Lood. Look at him in games against the top 1-4 sides. He is made to look like a bitch. Bloody flyhalf can bully him into touch. He is now our 4th best lock option.

Mozart - living in the past is bad - and people are fully entitled to change their mind about players.  Only complete duds cannot evaluate performance and carry on with their BS.

Here are the facts as always.....I rate Mvovo as a handy back-up to JP and Habana.....sadly he is the same age as them. They are done as he is......hope that helps Moz

But I'll explain in simple terms.....I USED to rate Mvovo when he was younger, he is now a has been, exposed at Super level for lack of pace that made him stand out

Dave - according to Mozart no players get poorer as a result of age.  He thinks they are still what they were 10 years ago - so the issue of the older players are always inked to experience with no regard to performance.  With that in mind it is no use to argue with I'm about players - he will always refer to what you wrote in the past and then imply that you are not capable of changing your mind about players.  It is better to just accept some of his twisted comments about players as coming from a prejudiced person with no regard to present performance levels of players.

 A 2nd rate front row.
A very poor back row ... apart from Warren.
A brain dead mor0n at 12.
A plodding carthorse at 11.
A useless full back.
Three quotas on the bench.
We should do well.
And yes BokBeFok ... I too am please that the slack jawed weed Lood isn't in the match 23. Simply useless

A second rate hooker, third rate flank forwards, a second class flyhalf  and outside center - and a second class wing - all in one team.   However, the tem is still slightl better than they were last week.

If Whiteley was not in the team I would have said the Irish could win this because we will again fail on the lose ball. Lets hope:1. The players decide to make Warren the de facto captain.2. Allister Coetzee brings Jaco on asap after half-time. That move will unfortunately requires that Jantjies plays the full 80 min. to maintain the qouta requirement.3. Coenie die Boef, stays off the bench and is only there to prepare the pap and wors after the game.

Yes Mvovo is a Bok and would be in my Bok side along with JP. Nothing wrong with his defence at all. I remember watching the very game Moz had him down as shadowing a Kiwi side in defence, think it was against the Saders - I had to laugh at his take. If a Bok spent his time shadowing players in defence, he would not currently be playing S15 rugby - Plumtree is not that stupid. Mvovo has great pace, step and physicality - great player

Yeah well done Moz that confirms my USED to be good.....4 years I take it is not long in the life of a rugby player.
I'll say it again Mvovo used to be good he is now a has been much like Jean, Fourie, du Preez, Pienaar, Jannie, Matfield, Bakkies, Schalk and co are.
We are talking 2016 where Mvovo is not the 10th best wing in SA.

Mvovo is actually a "neverbeen" ...
Much like HouGat, JJ, Taute, Coenie and Mujati.
There's another list you should be working on, Dave ... the "neverwillbe" list ...
Guys like Lood, Malherbe, Marcel vd Merwe, Kolisi, Jantjies, De Allende, Jesse Kriel, Arno Botha, Jacquues Du Plessis and Jan Serfontein will no doubt be on it ... well ... for awhile anyway ... till they're officially moved over to the "neverbeen" list.
I'm sure there's a host of past favourites of yours that could be brought in on this list ... and there's no doubt many more to come.
You my dear friend are cut from the same cloth as Dumb AssMike.

I'm on the Jaco Kriel wagon too. He should have been given a start. Maybe he is not enough of a fetcher for Coetzee's liking. Still, Louw hasn't exactly been a giant at the breakdown. Sucks to try and understand what the best team is because of the quota picks that have to happen. Really sucks.

You don't just chop and change a team on a whim. New caps should be started off the bench. You don't just walk into the starting team, unless there's some sort of crisis. Losing to Ireland is a crisis, but the whole team played poorly.

On a whim?? It's not on a whim, Draad. Change is necessary.
The Bokke started badly last week ... it took a fresh approach from the bench to see them through to victory.
I cannot see that bringing that same fresh approach on earlier, as in the starting 15, would do any harm.
Why is always necessary to play catch up rugby?
Wouldn't it be better to select the right boys from the start and build a lead? Let  them play catch up for a change.

If we drop a player from the team every time a player has a bad game, we will soon have no team. I believe Kriel should have been capped under Meyer already, but it should be from the bench. It seldom works when you blood a rook straight into the starting team of a must win test. As bad as the team were, going into panic stations and picking a new team seldom gives better results. I would have like to see another 10 also get some game time in this series, but it doesn't look promising.
