Unfortunately u are correct with your prediction.
What a test experience to have to endure in your first test for Malcolm Marx.
Just picture it coming on the field with a record score against your team and having to scrum with a weak replacement prop (Adriaanse) and all second raters pushing from the rear.
No clue and no chance........ coach.

ABasque, earlier in the week I would have agreed with you about the giant slap the Springboks are going to get on Saturday . . . but the more I hear AB fans talking about historic wins and huge scorelines, or ex-All Blacks suggesting their B team would be good enough to see off these Boks or the New Zealand press talking about how the Springboks will be embarassed, the more I'm starting to believe we're going to see a huge upset . . . and I'm not talking about the Boks losing by less than people expected, I'm talking UPSET!
Keep the big talk coming, Kiwis!
GO BOKKE!

My assessment of the team is as follows:

15. Johan Goosen           -    Acceptable
14. Bryan Habana          -     Way past his best
13. Jesse Kriel               -     Acceptable
12. Juan de Jongh          -     A joke selection

11. Francois Hougaard    -     Acceptable
10. Elton Jantjies           -     A potential nightmare
9. Faf de Klerk               -    Acceptable

8. Warren Whiteley         -    Acceptable
7. Oupa Mohoje              -    A joke selection
6. Francois Louw            -    A definite deficiency
5. Pieter-Steph du Toit   -     Good
4. Eben Etzebeth            -    Good
3. Vincent Koch              -    Acceptable

2. Adriaan Strauss         -     Useless at best
1. Tendai Mtawarira       -     Way past his best

Replacements:

16. Malcolm Marx          -     Good
17. Steven Kitshoff        -     Good
18. Lourens Adriaanse    -     Average
19. Franco Mostert         -     Acceptable

20. Willem Alberts          -    A certain disaster

21. Jaco Kriel                 -    Above average

Rooie I dont see too many Kiwis writing off the Boks ,if you include that half-wit beandik into the equation with his predictable put down of the ABs for every game I think you will find the ledger about even .Didnt you reckon that AB who made the B-team statement was something great or fabulous or whatever ?

When playing the All Blacks, it is important to kick the ball out every time.Don't try to make too much distance if there are no chasers,- otherwise, the AllBlacks back three will take quick lineouts to run back and break through the first line of defence, before moving the ball from side to side to create a mismatch. Old useless Jannie Duplessis was usually running this charity service.
We are the masters of aimless kicking, and we have Morne Steyn on the bench just to make sure.

Rooitwit the point is that in sport nothing is entirely predictable and upsets do happen.
However given what has been happening I wouldn't bet on it but of course will be delighted should the Proteas down the pompous, arrogant, hapless wee abs and their insufferable supporters like warped DUD, the raving loonie, and ou JW the confused! Two bigger bags of hot air would be hard to find!

They say that the height of stupidity ... (and no Mozart, I'm not referring to you ... as you are in a league of your own) ... is to do the same thing over and over again all the while expecting a different result.
We saw what this team managed last weekend against the pathetic Wallabies ... we saw how ineffective they were on attack (2 trys of which one was an intercept and the other a blatant forward pass)  ... how poor they were defensively, especially in the midfield ... how clueless they were at the breakdown ... and how they struggled at the set piece.
Yet ... the same team is selected again.
Usually one doesn't fix that which ain't broke ... but it seems Coetzee has it the other way round. He breaks it further with the inclusion of the elderly Alberts and has still not recognised the problem they have at 10.
I should find his home address and send him a red nose with a green wig.

Rooi, two mistakes. Firstly, if anything, the NZ'ers on this site have been the only ones with anything positive to say about the Boks. Marshall has been running his mouth off, but that is par for the course with him. Secondly, The fact that some NZ'ers, I assume other than those on this site, are overconfident, does not change the simple fact that the the Boks couldn't beat an egg at the moment. The AB's ARE better in every position, except maybe Etzebeth at no.4 . Mathematically, it is stupid to expect anything other than a loss for the Boks, regardless of what NZ fans have to say.

"Mathematically, it is stupid to expect anything other than a loss for the Boks, regardless of what NZ fans have to say."

Well then, maybe I'm stupid but in my experience, when New Zealanders get over-confident and start assuming big wins is exactly when they fall flat on their faces.

Remember the 2003 RWC when they painted their front row onto the jumbo jet in anticipation of winning the Cup? Remember all the big talk before they got pasted by the Frogs in 1999?

I wouldn't be crazy enough to put money on the Boks winning but I just have a hunch.

Go Bokke!

Rooie that hunch was it a loaner from Quasimodo ? The ABs arent their fans and I dont see them or their management getting too far ahead of themselves ,as you have pointed out we have earned some pain ful lessons. But thats the thing isnt it?,we have actually taken all that on board. and you can bet the ABs have too.

 rooi,

good to see that you keep your faith in your team,..... but it's not about kiwis and AB' fans being over-confident (let alone being "pompous, arrogant, hapless" as the major clown on this site says),....... it's about using the previous experience to try to anticipate what is coming (something humans do in every aspect of their lives),....... and watching this season's previous games of both teams everything points to an historical score,..... everything

and, mainly, it's not only AB fans, ex-AB and the NZ press who are anticipating a big score,...... every writter, journo, pundit from everywhere in the world is saying the same in a harsher or softer way,...... even the saffas

having said this, anything can happen next sat, even the most improbable,..... so, good to stick supporting your team,.... at least untill next sat,...

Hunch-a-bunch also thought the Boks wouldn't win without Spies, Watson would be a great Bok captain, the Sharks would soar without Jake and Zinidine Zedone and Dusted was going to win the WC for France. He hunches a bunch.

An additional bit could be the number of non white players playing each side.
As increasingly, Boks are beaten by sides with non white players in them.

No. Usually, football teams do not play against rugby teams. It is not the same sport.

SA are unable to train players. While SA start with the largest number of non white players, SA are unable to train at least one of them that could get into the national squad without being boosted.

To be compared with other countries playing rugby. England, starting with a much smaller number managed to train a few who are national squad material without being boosted.
