The constant kicking gave the backline players little chance to perform. In essence the only backline players showing anything were De Allende and Pollard, The props were very good and in defense Du Toit was spectacular when it came to the loosies, tackling the Welsh players back regularly.
The Bok tactic of bullying Biggar with DA (or that was my perception, will have to make sure on review) came off in the end when Biggar resorted to a powderpuff tackle effort in the try sequence, so fair play. We might see Farrell back at flyhalf for England, or defending in that channel in the final.
Steph made a few errors but he put in a huge physical effort and disrupted Wales at a fair few breakdowns. Can't fault the effort.
Good to see Pakster wising up giving overwhelming evidence.

So Dud 3 runs for 4 metres, is an 8....funny stuff. Yes he made 18 tackles, many process tackles but a couple of decent ones. But the Wallies try came from a move round his side of the scrum. He stayed head down and pushing too long.....so Faf ended up tackling their number 8, creating the overlap, while Stephanie was trapped behind Faf.
Delande made about 15 metres on his try. Wee Biggar was swatted aside like a fly.
2 years ago Delande forgot how to play rugby. However, he has improved gradually and been good this year. He has been excellent at the world cup.
His leg drives break defensive lines down, even if no space exists. He has also done some deft offloads after drawing and passing.
Du Toit and Delande stood out and both showed that they more than deserve their selection and are both underrated players.
How K got a 5.5 must be from the real die hard K fans.

I trust that the Bokke can pull off the next win which I think is going to be a titanic struggle.

I agree, Malherbe has progressed well each game in the tournament. He is making moreand more contributions outside of the scrum. It was a close call between him and Nykana for the starting spot. Even Koch was solid off the bench today.
Malherbe is the type of player that takes a while to get into top form after returning from an injury.
