Pretty clinical so far, very few errors, balanced approach and actually pushing the pace against the Italians - interesting to see Morne run the ball out from near his touchline and then LeRoux opting to kick and putting it over the deadball line when it looked like it was on to run it. Italy is probably going to have another man sent off at some point - always on the wrong side of the ruck. Boks more disciplined on defense.

Jannie is past it, needs to be subbed ASAP! It's horrible to watch him play....

Morne keeps kicking when we're on the front foot.

Second half a different story so far. Pathetic tackle attempt by Basson going high.

Vermaak injury looks bad - poor guy, on test debut. Pienaar to start the remaining games?

Reinach is due back from injury soon. Bassoon is too small, can totally relate to Saffex's fears. Kick, kick, kick and mis-tackle...

Bounce of the ball has been against the Boks, unlucky miscommunication between JJ and Basson has cause knocked on but never mind Bok scrum!

JJ dropped ball before touching down in corner. Unlucky but still very promising from him.

And De Villiers scored, Willie Le Roux has had a fantastic game drawing in countless defenders. It's been a relief seeing him rather than side show bob!

LeRoux MUST be a fixture in the Bok side.

Basson finally getting a intercept. That is about 300 attempts at it from him and Engelbrecht. Stormers players created and scored most of the tries. The Sharks front row got monstered and Spies thought he was a inside center the whole game trying to avoid the rucks.

Done and dusted. Spaghetti all round

Spooony thats not a good assessment, pretty cynical.

For the first time out this year combinations were good, especially having several new players. Lots of good touches. Effort as always was excellent.

Only time Boks were really under pressure was when they were a man down.

my appoligies oimatey then. Basson were great him and Englebrecht did great have marvelous hands did not butcher anything. Did not get any yellows and Spoes hit the rucks like a man possesed. Did not hang on Steyn shoulder 10 meters behind the advantage line and SA scored team tries all round no individual brilliance team tries all of them...........

Our scrum was solid. Did not get destroyed at all

I am not going to answer any of the above. See my player assessments as given above. Poor performances from Basson, Spies, Kruger and the props - they should replace both much earlier than they did. Hope Malerbe recover before Championship - Jannie Du Plessis should go and farm. And Kruger should go to Paris - maybe he will make a good lock for them. Steyn was 55-45 insofar as I am concerned. Strategic thinking is definitely not his strong suit.
