14. Raymond Rhule =1.9 The Kiwis were targeting the space on the wings- as everyone expected. Not a test standard player at this stage.A retired Habana at 45 would probably be better than Rhule. 
13. Jesse Kriel = 2.6Another player out of position that gets exposed as a utility back with limited understanding what his job is.
12. Jan Simpleton = 2.1Looked like a small brainless flank that cant pass. Lacks the finesse for an international centre.
11. Courtnall Skosan = 4.0A liability on defence. One or two attempts on the attack, but otherwise no threat. Like Rhule, the ball rarely made it to the wing. 
10. Elton Jantjies = 4.9Limbered around the poor service of Bougaard, and Jan Simpleton was not exactly asking questions on the attack.
9. Francois Hougaard = 1.7Useless. He just shovels the ball along. He does not dictate a style of play. His lack of composure at the ruck, spreads like a virus across the whole team. 

Hopefully, this is his late game as a scrumhalf for the Boks. 
8. Uzair Cassiem = 2.8Useless needs to be replaced by a thinking player.

7. Jean-Luc du Preez  = 4.5Dumb Luc was a donkey that got exposed as a creatine Zombie. Another player that appears to lack the ability to think. Needs to up his skills or he will be another Alberts- at best. Passing, catching, and drawing players to create space are basic and essential skills required.
6. Siya Kolisi = 4Not one of his better games. If Kriel had played- things could have been better for Kolisi.
5. Franco Mostert = 3Wee Mosert got bullied. He was replaced by someone that was worse than useless. (Lomp).
4. Eben Etzebeth = 2.7Utter crap. So predictable. Everyone knows his wrestler lurch forward move. A tackler lines him up with a supporting player competes for the ball as the ruck forms.  Stephanie to start the next test.
3. Ruan Dreyer = 2Ok scrummager, but was useless outside of the scrum
2. Malcolm Marx = 4Is he the worst lineout thrower in World Rugby? Probably the best Bok forward on the day- even though he seemed to miss the whole lineout with every throw.
The Lineout calls are also a problem. 
Perhaps Matfield is needed as a bok consultant to work on the lineouts or sew someone else's arm onto Marx. 
1. Tendai Mtawarira  = 4Remains a scrummaging rock- but was otherwise has limited work rate.

16. Bongi Mbonambi = 2. (useless). 17. Steven Kitshoff = 4.018. Trevor Nyakane =2.1 After eating all the half time oranges, he got onto the pitch to make a mess of every scrum
19. Lood de Jager = 2.720. Pieter-Steph du Toit = 421. Page scrumhalf  = 4he was crap, but better than the useless Hougaard.
22. Handre Pollard = 2.5
23. Damian de Allende = N/A 10/10 (man of the match as he never played). 
Summary- our Backline, it utterly useless. (perhaps worse than useless)They are a liability on defence- and they have limited attacking firepower.

Agree with most ratings - but you were too liberal when it comes top Skosan and the centers.  I would give neither of the three above 3.
For the rest they were varying from being utterly useless to useless.  The problem is that there are some poor combinations:-
*   The centers and wings*   The half-backs - all three was poor*   The loosies  *   The locks - Etzebeth without Du Toit is crap
*   The props - Nyakane cannot scrum and the two 3's should not be in the squad.

SA play a ruining, destructive type of stuff that is not even worth being called rugby.
A victory changes nothing to that.

SA players, in all their games, must be rated negatively, to reflect the collective approach. All stuff played by SA is worth less than zero.

Marx should have gotten a zero, in spite of good play in the tight/loose. Never has a hooker had a worse day at the lineouts, he was like a golfer with the yips. That phase totally destroyed the Boks. I wonder if this massively strong chap couldn't play tighthead. Or whether we could train one of the props to throw.

There is  some pollution on site.   There are two ways to look at Marx - if you give him a zero - add Etzebeth and Mostert to the Zeroes as well.    Who made the line-out  calls?   The other way to look at it is to l4eave it is it is.   Marx was by a mile better than the other 2       

 

 

 Although broadly speaking I agree with your ratings (bar 11 and 14 who in mybook would have no more than 3 as a Combined rating). I feel it is grossly unfairto judge the players without taking into account the long line of incompetence thatput them onto the field. Ratings should include coaching staff and administrators. It is ridiculous to think that you can send a team to a gunfight armed with knives. The vast majority of the blame lies with the structure. Alexander gets negative numbers from me. He has all the resources at hand but is too Fiking weak and grossly incompetent to effect any constructive change. AC gets a generous 0. Quotas may be forced on him but any of us would be able to select a better ‘representative’ team. He offers 0 in game plan, fitness or skills. 

 Mozart, don't be to harsh on Marx, who ever made the line out calls were really poor. Marx never got a chance to settle his nerves. Who's dumb idea was it to do shuffling around for the first line out ball. It should have been a straight 2 or 4 throw. Not some running around. To much movement in the line outs prevented the lifters from getting the jumpers up. 
I blame more poor line out management 
Can we give players - 0.4 ratings or something. Trevor pretty much took out all the advantage at scrum time. Gave a way 4 scrum penalties on the boks own throw in. 
Not a tight head and at best a reserve super rugby player. Wasted cap on this burger muncher
Hougaard was really poor, how did he not spot the numbers, how many times did he think that Jantjies would create magic with only 1 or 2 players outside of him or his 10 bounce passes. 
Thought that Jantjies did actually really well as he hit the line flat, even though he had poor services, had some inventive plays with the grubber through, only for Jessie to try and grab the ball when he could have toed it through. Also did a huge hit on Sonny Bill to prevent the off-load. Kid did really well. Lets hope Cronje is back
Cassiem and Du Preez did do much at the break down and neither did Kolisi. 
Need decent forwards that can clean the ruck but not one commit.
