When analyzing in detail after watching the game iat least three times - I came to the conclusion that Kirchner really played a shocker and Morne Syeyn was way elow par.   Greyling was diabolical.   Although Meyer might just stick with Mone and Kirchner - he would be severely cricized if he does - I would say that the folloewing players will take the field against the visitors - thinking that in the first game - Etxebeth may still be off suspended:-

Full back -  Lambie

Wings      -  JP Pietersen and Habana - if Pietersen is still off - then Hougaard

Centers    -  Steyn and De Villiers

Flyhalf      -   Goosen

Scrummie  -   Pienaar

no 8          -    Vermeulen

7              -     Coetzee

6              -      Louw

5              -     Bekker

4             -      Etzebeth/Van der Mewe

Props and Hooker as is

Bench     -     Liebenberg

               -     Malherbe/Kitshoff (?)

                -     Van der Merwe/Etzebeth

               -      Alberts

               -     Hougaard

               -     Taute/Jordaan ?

               -     Vermaak

The following four players may be in the squad as well:- Morne Steyn, Aplon,  Fourie and Villiers

I think his terribly poor display on Saturday has taken its toll and Kirchner is likely to go.   Morne was bad - but I think loyalty on the part of Meyer may just be rewarded.   Alberts is really to slow to be a flank forward - can play against slow-moving teams from the Northern Hemisphere - but is out of depth against tems like Australia and Nw Zealand.

The other new players have shown themselves as very good in the CC and Super series.   Meyer may want to play around with De Jongh, but that really would be an exercise in futility and not an investment in the future.

Forget your squad as it still has Pienaar at 9 and Hougaard on the wing. Madness

The squad should be:

Backs: Lambie, Habana, Mvovo, Mapoe, JJ, Jordaan, Taute, Frans, Goosen, Jantjies, Hougaard, Pienaar

Forwards: Beast, Kitshoff, Coenie, Jannie, Malherbe, Strauss, D.Fourie, Etzebeth, Bekker, Flip, Bresler, Daniel, Brussouw, Louw, CJ.Stander, Alberts, Coetzee & Vermeulen

Saggex

You should know better - but still wear blinkers.  Hougaard is NOT a scrummie - fairly useless at that - because he is not a natural scrummie.  Jantjies - blaas my siel - and what about defence in the channel - remember he cannot defend at all - playrs run over him like he is not there.  Mvovo will never see a Springbo0k squad again - Maybe Rhule might be though.   Mapoe is a strong tunner - but will add nothing to the backline.

However, according to timesonline, the only change Meyer is likely to make is Oosthuizen in for the diabolical Greyling - the rest will stay.   You are right about the dropping of Morne and Kirchner - but Meyer has a blind faith in those two useless buggers.    I don't know when - if ever - he wakes up to the fact that those two are really bad.

If that be the case - I am losing confidence in Meyer's selection faster and faster.

Here we go again. Nothing leant at all by snapster and Mike loosing more confidence in the coach if that were possible.

Snapster you simply have no clue what it takes to beat nz. I am sure you will be disappointed with the Meyer squad when it is announced and thank goodness for that!
