Yet another Moz position is vindicated .....this small, slow chappie with no pass was a no show today. But so was most of the Irish team.....too accountant-like. There was no verve, no joy.
And many reputations suffered:
Stamp for sure. But Healy at loosehead and Furlong at tighthead were really struggling. Ryan was outplayed by Lose-Jones. And Sexton and Murray were rattled. Then Bundi was his usual bag of nothing....where was Henson. And Stockdale embarrassingly was hauled in by an inside centre when away for a try.
The Welsh team gained very few metres, bur scrummed and defended like Trojans.
The big finding for the WC. In big matches defence is the dominating factor.

Was there ever a funnier, more embarrassing moment in a big game than Stamp's free kick into his forwards for an accidental offside.
This ordinary player has lived off Irish hype for 3 years

And while the rest of the world is marvelling at the game of rugby and how pride and passion can overcome all odds, here's this self-important blowhard trying his best to suck his own dick because a player he hates made a few mistakes.
Moffie, go find some other sport to follow because you're not a rugby man.

Gosh you must be in a good mood Peeper, you missed the reference to my arse. Actually it was a boring, dirge like game.
The Irish massively outgained the Wallies....237 metres to 110, scored the same number of tries and lost the game on penalties. Wales did nothing positive with the ball except the first try, which came from a chip kick.
This Six Nations, as is so often the case, was decided in the draw. Wales played both their key games at home. Ireland played one and England played none.
There now you have been schooled.

Still marvelling....hahaha. But let me remind you, when the Boks won the 2007 RWC you could find nothing joyous in the occassion. And I guarantee you they gained more than 110 metres.

Stephanie carried 6 times against the Jaguares for 6 metres and a turnover. Game after game we see him sucking up the ball and producing zippo.
If Stephanie is our main runner we are pretty much done....he doesn't break tackles and he doesn't offload. That means we don't have a phase running game that penetrates. It more or less dies at the gain line.
I understand that this seems repetitive....but our coaches aren't getting it. And watching Stampkar getting stuffed today and putting his team on the back foot was a clear insight into our issues.

As for Stampkar the penny is finally beginning to drop...the Irish Times:
CJ Stander: The Welsh targeted the number eight in the same way as England did. His over-eagerness to go for a tap penalty cost Ireland a prime scrum position. Lack of a passing game left him looking one-dimensional – 5.
What amazes me is that this bog ordinary player has been so lionized in Ireland, basically because he runs the ball a lot....no requirement to run effectively. It's incredible it's taken so long for these rugby journalists to see the truth.

The only person we have in the media who provides a different perspective is Mallett......I discount Keo because his views are politically motivated. And the trouble with Mallett is his ego, which has him trying to vindicate prior utterances.

Can't forget his previous seasons for Ireland, he's more than justified his selection over the years. The Welsh managed to prevent Vunipola from breaking the line this year, so no surprise CJ never got through. Very astute defenders with Shaun Edwards getting recognition, once again.

It worked within the Irish system, but there are a lot of number 8's who could have done the same thing. Hell props could have done the same thing. He never averaged 2 metres a run and beat few defenders given how many times he had the ball.
And his hands aren't great....look at that pass he dropped leading to the Earle's carry over. His passing is rudementary.
Nope I have to stick to my guns here.....he is bog ordinary.
