Wow, some impressive stats. I would have to see the game to know how the stormers lost.

Sounds like maximum effort with minimum brains.

That is why I don't particularly use/favour/take into account statistics, they never tell the full story and miss the context of the game. Players like Conrad Smith would look average if you only take a statistics perspective (Apart from his winning ratios) but a lot of what those sorts of players do get's unnoticed by statistics.

Precisely and amen to that Shezza.
Passion versus clinical execution of plan is a question that is ambiguous...we often hear the remark...a side won because they wanted it more but the truth is that both ingredients are needed...it has to be balanced (the AB's have generally been the masters of it of the balance). Passion is however the ingredient that comes first and the priority. That's why France on it's day is a formidable opponent, and when it dies even Tonga can beat them. England,Australia in particular can be clinical but lack the oomph...the AB's most times have both and Boks sometimes have both...they however never lack the passion but the passion often leads to clinical execution being fumbled.
That's why stats are flawed.
In 2 hours time we'll see Argentina against Germany in football. Both have the clinical execution but I think the Argies have the passion...to overcome that Germany will have to be clinically better.
I'm backing the Argies to win but this is not always foolproof...the Germans will have to be technically superior to take it.

Summed up very well Seb, wished other's would read this. If rugby was a statistics based game it would be boring, the only time I would definitely take statistics into account is things such as win/ratio, points scored, tries and other thing's of that nature. All these stats such as tackles, line breaks, meters gained and what not can be morphed to look good when in game the player has done very little and vice versa.

Not one of significance as I've only done compulsory maths because I don't require an advanced level in maths in my life. Weasel, have you ever stuck you're head out of your arse to breath?
