Is Steve Walsh cabable enough to wash a car, let alone referre a rugby game?

I was watching him speak to players yesterday and he seems like a total dummy.

Found this on youtube

I have to agree with you.

This guy is not a top ref and should not handle test games.

Super 15 is about his level.

He is also a Kiwi who has taken refuge in OZ......

Yes he should be reciting poetry or something. Not sure why he is refeering a rugby game.

Sharktwat, Steve Walsh has forgotten more than a dullard like you will ever know about the laws of the game or how to ref a rugby match . . . that's why he's a professional referee at the very highest level of the game and you're just an attention-seeking buffon trying to appear clever on some random and insignificant message board by copying and pasting long and boring articles which invariably screw up the margins for everyone else that any rugby lover can find and read for himself if he had the inclination.

Rooineck, aka Saffex's bitch- you insert a

link to the article

instead of copying and pasting.

Your are the only insignificant moron

that does this,

everyone else copies and pastes the

article to be read.

"some random and insignificant message board"

It is called a blog you idiot.

I hardely see how this blog is insignificant,

except that a loser like you is on it.

rooitwit thanks for yor stunning contribution which thankfully was brief. Please visit you optician.

What these poor players have to put up with.  The question is are these genuine errors. How does a supposedly  top ref make some of the errors we see?

Classic!

Go read up what a blog is, you blithering idiot, and feel free to apologise before you start wiping all that egg off your face. This is a message board, chump.

Pfffffffffhahahahahahahaha!

Sharktwat, your very vague definition (which you selectively edited to exclude the rest of the Wikipedia definition) could be a definition for Facebook or Twitter. Do you call that blogging?

Listen, you pitifully stupid fool, if you start a blog and write an article and other people comment on your blog then that's a blog, okay? This is a message board (or Forum if you prefer) on the sarugby website.

If you read the rest of your Wikipedia definition (you know, the big chunk you left out) then you'll see they talk about MAB (multi-author blogs) which sounds to me a lot more like a a message board but it's still not owned by one person . . . which is the case with a blog.

If you're still confused, go sign up on a basic blogging website like sport24.com, start your own blog and then you'll see the difference. No need to thank me for this little pointer in the right direction, just wipe that egg off your face . . . it's going to go hard.

Rooiarse Facebook and Twitter are blogs. A blog is based on Web 2.0 that allows online comments on a website, also known as a blog.

i like steve walsh a bit over dramatic at times but i cant really recall him even having a bad day at the office in terms of his calls. generally down the middle the most of times. wish i could say the same for some other refs

@carpetmuncher,

im with u, he does generally call it down the middle, hes still only human though.

i do think that his reffing style rubs a lot of people the wrong way, and IMO he appears to want it that way for maybe more camera time???
still hes a lot better then other refs out there.

He seems like an English teacher reciting poetry, or perhaps rehearsing for the school play.

He does seem to enjoy the camera show

Cloudy lets be reasonable here. Just as one really can't blame rugby players going overseas for much better pay one cant blame kiwis crossing the Tasman to go to a much better country? Where have all the kiwis gone long time passing Tra la la la!

Go thou and do likewise? Surely the dumb thing in life is not to maximise your opportunities which is what thre folk remaining in nz and generally doing. This logic has a pure mathematics ring about it.

As for Steve did his wahine dump him or did a sheila steal him.We might never know the answer?

@cloudy the reason whey he absconded to oz was because from what i heard for the rugby rumour mill is that when he and his fiancee which if i can recall was a nz public figure or reporter. when he was in south africa reffing a super rugby game he caught he with some sharks players cheating on him. from there he starting drinking and it ended up him vomiting in a NZ refs meeting apparently. from there he quited and moved to oz doing some other odd jobs i think he was a delivery man or something similiar.

that is where the tatoo comes from on his arm if the legend is true.

in anycase in terms of his reffing in my view he is one of those refs that dont make the headlines on the sunday newspaper due to bad calls and for me that is the role that the ref needs to be play. one of the few decent refs going around for me and i agree with you @sasuke

yeah well he is dramatic as i said but you cant cop a guys some flack for having a personality. is it over the top sometimes yes i agree 100% but the calls are down the middle and that is the real barometer you should use to judge a ref.....if you were to relate him to peyper over the weekend the differences are huge.

old peyper got conned on more than one area of the game.

After a Haskell punch

Wlash: Do you know whats the title of the Flaming Lips second album? Yes? No? Yellow Card!

aFTER 70 MIN

JdV s showing Walsh his tattoo

Walsh: Jean can you speak Manderin? No? So shut the fuck up!
