I've always said Willie is a great technical tackler and the way he brought Dwebe down in space a while ago perfectly proves the point.

Dweba at full pace and with a head full of steam, but Willie brings him down on the spot.

9-9 at the moment.

Let's hope the 2nd half is better.

I won't be popular for saying this but credit where it's due. I know Salman Moerat is one of the most criticised players around and I've been one of his critics, but he's had a storming first 30 minutes, contesting lineouts, carrying it up strongly and making his tackles. He's off now for a HIA but the way he's playing, the Stormers need him back.

There's half time and it's 12-9 to the Stompies.

Oh and I hate to sday it but congrats to the Lions. I don't think the Sharks played particularly badly today but the Lions were simply brilliant.

Roos might not be my pic for Bok 8, but one can't fault his attitude. He's just always so obviously up for it.

You can't fake that kind of fire.

Bulls with an opportunity to take the lead here on the 60 min mark. They're on the Stompies' line...

With Wilco getting the Bools a penalty at every scrum, how can they not be winning the game.

Roos just isn't powerful enough for how he wants to play at 8.

I honestly believe he's a natural 12, not a loosie.

Every Bools match seems to come down to phased play for the win, but without Hanekom and Arendse they just don’t have any weapons. The Willie at 10 thing is just not working either, which surprises me..,but he seems lost.

As a Stormers fan, happy we won, but not a great game. Leinster still the team to beat and playing much better rugby in similar conditions.

Just hope we can bring back some of our SA coaches. Johan van Graan at Bath, Franco Smith at Glasgow and the Nienaber at Leinster. They are all the right age and getting fantastic results.

We need coaches that can train teams how to play in these conditions if we want to succeed in Europe

It’ seems the back up players is not competitive enough? That,s hard to believe with the Bulls squad.

They have a great bunch of players. I do like Jake, but this can’t reflect good on his capabilities?

It seems the Bulls are losing more than winning….Jake has been around the block more than a couple of times.

He needs to find his Flo and create a Winning culture faster. Otherwise it might go sour.

He was good pre his long lay off - has been at best solid since coming back but today he showed glimpses of what he is about

Simpleton still antsa natural 8 at 12, That ty pe of B S has never worked at all ever. Name just one such move \ that ever worked. I can remember one such case that backfired an that was Jake White movin g Esterhuizen from 12 to 7 and he flopped badly. Spies use io be a failure at 14 - moved to 8 and in the end he urned into a failure as well, in the altte case he looked like Tarzan and played like Jane.

Both the above failures were backline playes moving to loose foraads and both failed -it was even worse when a forard is moved to play in baclines/ becaue it is imbecilic to even suggest it,

Kwagga can play 12...Roos should be able to do so too...Bobby Skinstat played some games in the midfield...12 years ago people frowned when I said they should move Deon Fourie from 2 to 6...

Mike, what can DDA do that Roos can't?

I'm mean, if I'm such a simpleton then you should easily be able to provide a rebuttal.

And then you also have to consider that Wiese is already doing a great job and Hennekom is the best overall player in SA this year.

So how do you see Roos fitting in?

Just because Moeras had a little bit of good form vs the Bulls a local side, does not mean that he is this super Bok lock…..Utter BS.

There is no way in hell that he is better than a Ruben V Heerden, JF V Heerden, Adri smith, Ruan Vermaak, Reinhardt Ludwig….

These guys will play circle’s around him….he is there because of transformation and not because he is one of the best lock options available to the Boks.

Draad, in terms of what Rassie wants from a 12, Roos can 100% do what is required.

Rassie wants a solid defender at 12. He wants him to be able to run into traffic and hold the ball up long enough for support to arrive and he wants his 12 to basically be a loosie in the backline.

If Rassie wants a 12 that can step, create space and chances, distribute, keep up with play and be there in support of a break...then he wouldn't have DDA there because DDA can't do any of those things. He just never done any of those things.

So my argument stands. In terms of what Rassie wants, Roos fits the role better than DDA does.

Mike, Dave and Rooi will be all indignant and cry foul but they'll never provide any actual counter argument.

For me, Roos wants a fight, he wants the ball and he wants to smash people. He's struggling to do that against forwards because he's just not big enough. The Lions pack completely shut him down two weeks back. Test packs will routinely shut him down...but any backline will have problems if Roos is getting a lot ball and smashing it up at them.

At this point, even F Horn is ahead of him in terms of 8th man performances. Which makes Roos about 4th or 5th in the queue to start for the Boks.

I like 12.Hooker and 13. Henco for Bok midfield, but I'd love to see 12. Roos with Hooker or Henco in midfield.

Roos has more dog in him than most, but I believe he's playing in the wrong position.

Plm I asked a simple question - you seem to know more about coachin g than everybody else - so why are you not aspply for a coaching joblike in Japan where they pay coaches very well. You can then mve playes from backlines to frwards and vice versa. Sorry - but your opinions about player movements never really moved on test level and in the end proved to be disastrous,

Or rather play Roos at 6 where his attributes is suited more than that of a hulking Thor at 8….

Geez we are missing Duane, as Jasper Wiese has still not a 100% made the 8th man spot his own.

But compared to Roos, he has a bigger physical presence. Roos does shine when linking up with the backs in open field play.

So it won’t be to outlandish to see him playing 12…

Fuck there are some rugby dunces on here

Roos a 6 yeah right - as for 12 that’s just fucking insulting

Kwagga has never played 12 and nor did Bob ever play there - there was talk that Jake or someone was thinking about him at 12 but I don’t believe that either as that would have been at the expense of Jean at 12 or Fourie at 13

Was never going to happen - more like some hashed up bullshit story much like Roos at 12 - rugby joke of the century

Nice thinking Plum. Love to see Roos at 12.

Always thought Deon Fourie would have made a great 12.

I think If Fassie says at 15 Willemse could take the 12 jersey.

Plum don't expect too much creative thinking here.
