Gonna be a fiery one. Stormers with early pressure on the Shark's line.

Sharks already 14-0 ups Jonker penalising the Stompies for simply being in the field.

Not able to watch much rugby now but Aus looks on fire against Ireland. Just scored a cracking try to go 10 -0 up.

Scrappy game, full of mistakes. Stormers gathering some momentum now. Fassi's try creation earlier was exactly the type of thing that makes him so dangerous. He runs a perfect line at extreme pace and then fires off a pinpoint pass at exactly the right time to put the man in at the corner.

SGM off for an HIA at the 30 minute mark. Lol Manie comes in and the first thing he had to do is take a penalty...lol And...he missed an easy one. This guy!!! FFS!

Then he'll are the Stormers doing here? 2 minutes ago they opt to go for goal for a tight angle. Suddenly now, from right in front of the posts they decide to go for the corner. Maul...ball comes out, and then Galant screws up a certain try by dropping the ball.

Crappy first half apart from a few bits of individual play.

Stormers clawing their way back into the game with a try from Zas who nearly collected a grubber and dotted it down. Manie screws up the kickoff and gets his clearance charged down. Stormers immediately back under pressure thanks to that. Manie is so kak these days...

Damn nice try from the Sharks. Started by AE who stepped a couple people in his own half. ...looks like it may be disallowed due to obstruction. Yep. No try. Unlucky because that was the most skillful passage of play in the game thus far.

And Manie screws up yet again, allowing a high back to bounce in his 22 when he had al the time in the world to take the catch first time. Resulting in a try for the Sharks. My word...what is wrong with Manie? Shocking

I just can't believe how bad Manie is. Like, the guy simply doesn't have the stones required for test rugby. And now Herchelle allows the ball to simply roll out of his hands. Nee wat, Draad, hierdie span is'ie lekker nie.

Fassi making a brilliant defensive interception 7m from the try line. That's a test quality player!

OMG!!! And the Stormers score two tries in 5 minutes to win it. ...with Manie Libbok scoring the winning try. Fine, I'll eat some humble pie. ...but the TMO is looking for a knock-on now. ...and it was Manie that knocked the ball on at a ruck leading up to the try. Okay, Manie is still shit.

Manie missed 3. Gave away 7 points by allowing the ball to bounce in his 22. And then made a stupid knock that cost the Stormers another 7 points. 17 points. That's how many points Manie cost the Stompies today. Contrast that with Fassi who was brilliant all day. A Bok versus a pretender.

SFM had a head knock...which looked more like shoulder than head. Perhaps some whiplash. Went off for HIA and never came back on. Stompies lost by 6. Fassi was brilliant. The game in general was super kak.

Thanks Plum. Ai Jan Pierewiet is losing the plot I think….but just imagine he could get everything together, he would be quite lethal… SFM hopefully not to bad ….Gelant has dropped tremendously in form, where a season or 2 ago, he was ear marked for greatness.

SFM was good though. He seems incapable of making negative contributions. Early in the game he found himself running down the touch line and out of space. He kicked a little up and under towards the middle of the field with the side of his foot...intended for Herchelle. It landed almost inline with the posts, coming in from about 45degrees. The Stormers actually retained the ball but then fluffed the try. It's a small thing, but not something you see often because it takes both skill and vision to pull off something like that. The kid has the goods to be the leading Bok 10. Nobody else is close really...certainly nobody that enough to be involved in 3 world cups. Pollard will be gone at some point and I think that Handrikse and SFM have similarities that'll provide continuity but are different enough to offer a level of contrast in how the team plays when they're on. Manie is a goner for me. Just too many bad performances. To be honest, I'd rather Willemse cover as 3rd 10. Moodie was good tonight for the Bulls, SFM was good, Fassi was MOTM. It's clear who the best guys are...and who the best guys aren't.

Right now for me the WC backline looks like:

Fassi

Kolbe

Nobody yet

Nobody yet

Arendse

Sacha

Williams

…..

Pollard as a closer. It’s amazing to me how few great centers there are in the game now. Gone are the days when you had JdV and Nonu and a host of good NH centers. Perhaps the emphasis on forward play inside opposing 22s is reducing the value of a penetrative center.

Like Plum said ...a k@k game...both Stormers and Sharks blew a lot of try scoring opportunities...very frustrating to watch as a Stormers fan...not our year it seems...glad to see the Sharks starting to live up to their potential...this was a good victory for them...congrats Snarkies...till next time.

Moz, For me the choices for 13 are Moodie, Henco van Wyk and Julius. For 12 it's less clear. But we have an abundance of large loosies that are skillful and could easily play 12. From V Tsitsuka, to Roos...we have a many of these 6'3" monsters that would terrorise opposition backs. Then there's also the fact the Willemse simply has to be on the field, but Fassi is looking like the choice 15. So perhaps Willemse is destined to play 12 for the Boks.

I liked what I saw of Henco a year or so ago he has great acceleration ...and then he quieted down a bit...hope he'll be back to his best soon.

Pity Dan Dup never made the step up...and the Stormers stay on the wrong side of close matches...
