Stormers second-five Shaun Treeby has been cited for a dangerous tackle after knocking out Blues first five-eighth Piers Francis.
Francis is expected to miss Friday's match against the Chiefs at Eden Park due to concussion after copping an errant swinging arm from Treeby on the chin in the 47th minute of the Blues' 30-22 loss in Cape Town on Friday.
Upon review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed that the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The case is to be considered in the first instance by the Sanzaar foul play review committee on Sunday via video-conference.
