I see Katrakilis is uncertain of where he will play Currie Cup this year. The Stormers should be fighting tooth and nail for this fellow. Surely they can't be placing all their hopes on Jantjes, who will be running out for the Lions this Friday night? And even if they were to secure Jantjes services, he didn't seem to be the Stormers first choice for most of this season anyway. I understand that this is for the Currie cup only, and not next years Super Rugby, but if the King are relegated, then Katrakilis will be out in the cold....and the Stormers again be short on a quality 10.

You are probably right Spooony, but I just find it a joke that the Stormers are not fighting for this kid. More questions about Stormers management.

How are Coetzee going to become Bok coach when the Stormers run out only with Aplon ,De Jongh and Kolisi as non white players? Can't you see what Coetzee is doing here? That why he don't bother with getting Flouw back from ENgland.

Habana left so he got to replace him with Jantjies. Plus vd Heever left so he will get another non white dude in his place to make his cv look good for Springbok coach selection. All the politicians want to see is that he played more players of other color than any other team. Stamp approved Springbok coach.

If he is not able to win anything, he won't get the job anyway....no matter how many non-white faces show up in his team. He needs to win, and to win, he needs to fill up the gaps in his team.

Yes and sadly the small round fella doesn't have the coaching skills needed to guide a team to Super Rugby dominance ... never mind an International team.

Guess that and his affirmative selections are bound to be a big plus for his Bok coach aspirations.

BlueBok what rock have you been living under? Did PdV or Carel Du Plessis win anything? Coetzee won a CC and reached a SR final.

It seems they are still thinking of trying to sign Jantjes if possible. Coetzee says given Van as Wegens performance against the bulle he cannot guarantee Cat the starting spot.

Whatever the case he needs to try and get Cat and and Van Aswegen as his two flyhalves. The rugby season is so long both will get ample game time. Forget Jantjes. He is expensive and not worth the cash.He will get Cat for less and Cat is a better bet.

Coetzee needs to get real. Frankly we are loosing so many players one cannot at this stage be optimistic about next year. One will have to see what the final squad looks like.

The Stormes obviously does not want to pay what Janrjies is demanding. He did get a massive dispensation when he came on loan to Cape Town and produced zero of consequence in return. Although Coetzee might want him - the WP Board may object and asked for a reasonable contract - since he may not be their first choice flyhalf. I think Coetzee is waving Van Aswegen around to get Jantjies to be more reasonable in his demands - something like we would still like to sign you up but you have to accept our offer. If not we have Van Aswegen and he is capable of starting = so sign up or ....... Janttjies may be desperate enough to sign - because he would not get a decent offer from anybody else. That is unless the Lions get back into Super 15. If the Lions win the play-offs I think Cheeky Watson will not accept it lightly. My suspicion is that he would combine with the Lions and field a joint team - with half of the home matches played in Johannesburg and the other half in PE. There are already rumours of that floating around - but I think Cheeky feels wins in the play-offs will strengthen his hand in negotiations on the issue. In such an event Jantjies is bound to play for the Lion Kings - to their detriment I am afraid. Be it as it may Coetzee has already found a replacement for Habana - he is punting Cheslin Kolbe for that role. He may go for Catrakillis - but would actually prefer another player of Colour - so as to emphasize he role he played in BEE in the Stormers team. Problem is the man is destroying and damaging the WP and the Stormers and that is the end of the story.

Coetzeee only goal is to make his CV look good. When its time for new bok coach they have to pick him as AA states it.
