Looks like the Bulls will not get the option of a home final.

It could be the Bulls flying to Hamilton for the Final, or even losing to the Crusaders in the semis in Pretoria

 Bulls have run out of luck, Stormers are teaching them how to play rugby, shame.

Bulls will probably still get homefield for whole playoffs as Saders will beat the Reds, then beat the Chiefs (as long as Brumbies beat Cheetahs).

Jean de Villiers’s Stormers battered the Bulls in Cape Town with their best performance of the season.

The Stormers played with the intensity and mongrel of a team needing victory to secure the first place in the league standings.

As it was the Bulls were made to look like plodders in the 30-13 defeat.

All credit to the Stormers.

They were the better team in every aspect and deserved to win with a bonus point.

The Bulls were never in the match physically and on 55 minutes the Bulls coaching staff produced the white flag in subbing the core of their experienced players, including flyhalf Morne Steyn, who had been the best of an ineffective Bulls challenge.

The Bulls, who were already the South African Conference winners, needed to win to finish top of the table.

But they were never given a chance by a home team determined to erase the memory of an indifferent campaign with a stunning last league match.

The manner of the Stormers win would only have added to the frustration among Stormers supporters, as the side’s performance was consistent with all the pre-tournament talk of favourites.

The Bulls were a kick away from losing to the Sharks in Pretoria a week ago and in Cape Town there was no charitable misses from the Stormers.

This was as emphatic a victory as the Stormers have scored against the Bulls in some time.

It was memorable and it was inspirational.

De Villiers and Bryan Habana were again magnificent. Eben Etzebeth and Deon Fourie were immense and every other Stormer played his part in a fine victory.

The Bulls, given the last two performances, will need home ground advantage and a bit more to advance to a final.

Saturday night belonged to De Villiers and his Stormers.

This was an old fashioned pakslae.

The Chiefs top the table, the Bulls are second, followed by the Brumbies, Crusaders, Reds and Cheetahs.

The Brumbies host the Cheetahs and the Crusaders are at home to the Reds in next weekend’s quarter-finals.

The oaks must all note that I said the two coastal sides were the best in SA - but for very large scale injuries both would no doubt have been ahead of the bulle on the log. Also snapster please note - Deon Fourie was immense - when is he not. By accident ou Allistair has stumbed on the right guy for 6 - has he learnt anything?

Lesson to be learned once more by the oaks - always listen very carefully to Beeno.

congrats to the stormers for a well deserved win, way to send habana off like a champ. my one fault was at the end when habana kicked the ball for touch, he should have run it, its not as if they could they lose.
but that was some mean defence, the type of defence that required a player like serfontein, even though it might not have made a difference.

lady elizabeth had a huge game, he will be looking to take that form with him into the IRC/4nats.

and i think there can be no doubt that janties and the stormers just dont click. i still rate janties, buts hes been fra and away the worst flyhalf in spXV.

some food for thought, but fox sport really screwed ths stormers in 2013, had the TMO during the rebels/stormers game had seen the footage of higginbotham knocking that ball on during the broadcast, instead of like everyone else wathced it after the game, that try would never have been allowed and stormers would have won the game which would see them in the top 6 and not the cheetahs.

thats gotta sting, but stormers pro defence rugby style hasnt helped their cause either.

anyway thanks for the win stormers, lets hope the cheetahs can replicate the same this weekend, :o)
