Manie overdoing the cross kick foot pass gifts Ospreys a try...7-17...Stormers making it difficult for themselves...halftime.

Manie is the single reason why the Stormers lost.
Yet again proves that he can't play when it is wet. Forward passes, poor kicks and lacked the game management.
Teams know what to expect of him now.
Where as the Ospreys put the ball behind the Stormers and knew how to use their forwards.
Roos was the only player that stood out today. The Stormers pack was toothless

As I said, I'm losing confidence in Manie. He's becoming the QDK of rugby. A front runner type that does well when everyone else does but can't hold a performance when those around him are struggling.

Indeed, M Their pack has been struggling. They seem to be providing a shaky platform and are too easily moved. It's been the story of their season so far. Their backs also look like they're making too many silly errors and turning regulation saves into opportunities for the opposition.

"Yes but blaming him alone is utter shit"

...because really, it's Adam and Eve wots to blame. Them, who started it all.

Nobody ever mentions their fourth child, Luck.

4 tackles attempted, one made…..one pass for an oppo try, one cross kick for an oppo try. He had a nightmare game.

We all know he is spectacular in an open running game, but of course the question is whether he can manage an important, tight match. But watching the confusion on Saturday, another question arises, does he have a plan B if there is no space.

Manie has more than proved himself, he has nothing more to prove His game was not poor, for the most he was his usual self - I have absolutely no issue with a long pass being intercepted or a kick pass the same - that’s rugby His defence is never going to be a strength as he lacks strength

Jantjies > Manie Better option selects, more accurate kicker, better defender and superior game management in general. We never appreciated Elton as much as we should have. Manie is slipping down my rankings quickly.

It is early days, Draad. But Manie is 26 now. He has some time, but not a lot. I think everyone here wants him to succeed. If he were more reliable and hard nosed we'd all be far happier. It just feels like he has regressed this season for whatever reason. And this should have been the season, after he has had an extended run with the Boks, and is very settled at WP, where he really took off. But it hasn't turned out that way and it sucks. Let's hope he turns it around and puts together a few flawless, or at least unshakeable, games.
