Such a pleasure to watch thinking and good center play in rugby

I with pleasure watched the game between the Pumas and WP last night.  What impressed me both was what a difference the center combination of De Allende and Nel made to the backline play of the Stormers.

Both showed how centers can make a difference and the tries scored by those two players was the result of excellent thinking play by those three.   In three o the tries scored by WP  De Allende's playing ability and quick thinking made him the player who assisted in the scoring of three tries.   In the case of -

*   of the first try he broke a tackle and that put two players on his outside in the clear and the coring of the try was inevitable; 

*   the second try he made  an accurate skjp pass straight into the hands of the wing, who had a clear run to score; and

*   in the case of the third one the ball was caught ad virtually in the same action he made a dribble kick resulting in a try being scored.

Nel in scoring one of the WP tries was also deadly in attack and the two centers were really dangerous throughout the game.  

It is funny how the main Village Idiot on site supported by his minions - will cringe and scream hysterically  about this thread.  LMAO

Allende will be back unless Esterhuizen shows something more than carrying up the ball. Chances are Allende and Kriel will be back again.

Allende has some very nice touches and has shown this many times against class opposition!

Nel maybe one to watch. We shall see how 15 man game suits him.

I thought the best twio players were De Allende and Nel - now I get a response so negative it is unbelievable.   Lets explain the two issues in the case of the second try and those are - 

*   reading of the play and deciding on the overhead pass to the outside;and

*   execute the pass - distance and direction - perfectly.    

What did Damian do against England? What has he done in any test? Damian's best passes are those passed along the line quickly without having to engage a defender. These are commonly short to medium range at best. It's remarkable that after a disastrous England series we are having someone make a case for Damian and Kriel based on Currie Cup rugby. Why not deal with the thread I made about the England test. You tried your damnedest to avoid the issue. 

  Skip passes needs top be 100% accurate and it often leads to intercepts and tries by opposing teams if it is not.  

I do differ from you there were to defenders of the Pumas outside of De Allene and an ordinary pass could have meant the end of the attack.    There wer ein fact three players outside of him so there was an overlap on the outside - not immediately next two De Allende and the one player outside of that so a quick and accurate pass was the sure way to go.  A normal line pass could have been thwarted.         

A miss pass needs to be accurate. Thanks for helping us out Mr.Clever, as we'd all have missed that. I flicked through my "Coaching for Doffdoos BSrs" t ext and it wasn't there. Such a gross oversight. 

BS Monster, Fransie at his best was a 15 and at his worst a kak 10. He was a good stand-in 12 when Jean was injured, but he played his best rugby at 15.

No center since 2012 was ever worse than Fat Fransie on Super Rugby level - he set a new low as a center,   Mde it into the rugby hall of shame in that period.   Also called accurately by Plumtree who said he was no \center at all.

Frans was a 6/10 fullback. Kirchner and Aplon both better him. He was best at 12, and had very good games and tests at 13. Early on he was tried at wing and was good. At 10, he was excellent in 2008, 2009 and under Jake. I haven't observed him in France at 10 so can't comment on that. 

Sure our world analyst comes up with what?????   Surprise - surprise - we have the top class flyhalf, wing and center here in Frans Steyn,   Why bother with facts when dealing with Steyn - the facts are made up by our local analysts and they must at all times believed even if they are just cloud nine make-believe.

A player -

*   decision-making is too slow to be an acceptable flyhalf;

*   is a proven pace-deficient as an outside back;  and

*   is so good in two seasons on Super rugby level he made 4 line breaks and beat 17 defenders.

so who can really differ from the world-reknowned expert whose opinion according to Mozart  must always be accepted by coaches and us idiotic mortals.          

I still have his Super rugby stats for the entire 2008 and 2009 seasons. I also have his stats for 2014 on ESPN. Try me. 

The argument never was about the 2008 and 2009 Super Rugby season - it was said that Steyn went sour in France and got so fat - that he was utterly useless after 2012.   He used to be a good player before going to France and he came back totally devoid of any\ skills he had previously - I was very disappointed when I saw him reaching the lows he did.   But I realized what happened - you obviously did not - hence the need for cloud 9 fairy tales. . 

The 2014 stats were discussed numerous times on site and Mozart;'s expert opinion was that the value of Steyn as a player is not reflected by his stats.  I have the stats toi on 2014 ad 2015.   So do the analysis - but be careful I specialize in identifying deliberate disinformation  in using stats.

You threatened you will analyze his stats for 2014 ad 2015 - why don't you carry through with that one.  And make sure there is no imaginary line breaks as you claimed happened in the Sharks - Stormers match please.  

We all know how he matured in France -most of his maturing was around his mid-riff,   Great stuff - he added at least 12 kgs in the process.  He came back and was useless for the Springboks in 2012 and worse for the Sharks in 2013. 2014 and 2015.   

Weird was how he was on contract with SARU in the period 2012 to 2015 and they would not renew his contract when it ended in 2015,   Try and give us a reason for that?????????
