The current name of the team is inappropriate. It represents nothing relative to the team, a nimble, springing animal to figure a team whose playstyle is running straightforward...


At first, since the team is composed with white and quota players, the name of cow was thought as fitting


the SA cows




Considering that SA fail to train quota players, this gives a specific face to the team.

Quota players are concentrated on the wings and full back, while the rest is made of white players.


It summons the image of a bird, black wings and tail, white body.


The southern pied babbler fits the bill and lives in SA



At least, that will be something representative in that team.

What's happening in rugby in SA is worthy of ridicule...I have mixed feelings because deep down I was proud, proud of the great Springboks of the past but now I cannot have pride in anything in SA...we are the fools of the world...we don't have any back bone any more and simply surrender to a bunch of idiots that rule this country and take it without resistance.

You lot could do worse than naming your team after a cow. Just look at the mighty Mooloos of Waikato! Seb, I’ve stopped getting the sheep bleating site finally thank God! Always thought Hasbeeno was behind it as he bleats about NZ rugby incessantly....

Good suggestion Wardad, in the non-animal domain I would also consider The Doormats as a name for the current Boks.
In the animal domain perhaps The Tufted-Titmice would capture the current situation, it has the advantage of including Tits (which the SA administrators certainly are) and mice which captures the current team's persona. Note the stylish tuft of feathers on his head which should appeal to those who like such things.

That is granting too much.

Rugby is not a tradition in SA. It is one of the failures. If it was a tradition, it would not be in such state. SA rugby has not roots.

It self destroys and self ridicule. A tale alone like the quota policy is enough to ridicule it.

50 per cent quota. Can be checked at first glance.
