1/ Get neutral refs for all games - and if home side - get home ref - not cheating kiwis reffing home games in Oz
2/ Get rid of Western Force no one living there gives a $**T about rugby and depth is spread too thin in rest of Oz rugby
3/Bring back round robin format (aka last time Reds won in fair contest - since then all rigged) - conference system SUX beyond belief - seriously who cares about 90% of games now...
4/ Kiwis are only getting better - STOP them poaching Fijians and Islanders and now even AUSSIE players...
5/ Sack whoever is responsible for stupid crap boring ass format that this once excellent competition has become
6/ Can the Aussies learn to catch and not drop the &^$&%&$%%$##$ ball
Unfortunately other codes in OZ only benefit from the farce that has become rugby in this country - League / AFL go strength to strength and average aussie doesnt give 2 rats about rugby anymore... Well done management - bonuses all round...

This stupid new format is starting to bear fruit...the fruit of lack of interest from the rugby public! There are just too many games and too many rubbish teams. I used to be rugby mad, but I just don't care anymore, if it was not for the fact that I play Superbru, something I am also fast losing interest in, I don't think I would even watch Super Rugby anymore. I last watched a live Super Rugby match at the stadium 4 years ago. SA and Aus should lose one team each, NZ can hang on to their teams because they have the players to keep them stocked. Actually, SA could lose two teams, I reckon if we had four teams, we'd be able to compete.
There are fewer and fewer people watching Super Rugby because of the stupid format and the low caliber of many of the games. But I reckon this will change soon. Once the idiots up top see the dollars stop rolling in they will change the format.

Dumbarse van redsmong ,if we didnt let you dumbsh!ts have our left overs you would be getting thrashed by the kings and the Sunwolves .Fijians are always welcome ,unlike when your mates in the Tahs had Nadolo and were too stupid to realize what they had !!!Your boys could do worse than watching NZ primary school kids doing the whole catch/pass thingy ,they might lear n something !

"Easy fix increase Kiwi teams and eliminate the teams that are rubbish. Problem with this is there would only be Kiwi teams in the comp but this will cut down on the travel."
True .......... Kiwis are well versed at playing with themselves .

C'fan, you're preaching to the converted ....... SA rugby's screwed by political interference & our sports administrators are sadly their lackeys ...... imo. there are no positives, no solutions, & our rugby status will inevitably worsen until we are no longer surprised at being beaten by Japan or Italy or Georgia or Spain .

Blobbok, things are getting worse due to an even greater transformation targets. SARU has always been poor at admin and given recent requirements, things will get worse fast from now onwards. Players with little chance of making it into the Bok side will leave in droves...even those who play for the Boks.

Easy fix.....start off by getting rid of a token side like the Kings.
Strive for the sides to play most of the other sides by cutting out the home and away fixtures for sides within a country. I don't want to see the Lions playing the Bulls twice.....I'd much prefer them to be playing those 5 games against Oz and Kiwi sides.
Log points should determine playoff positions......dispense with conferences.

1. Get rid of both the home and away local derby games, with just one game against each team in round one.
2. Round one games to create a seeding for round two and round three. (Mostly local derbies)
The goal of this is to get the strongest teams all playing each other,
These bottom nine teams from round one go into losers round 2. (All of these teams play each other).
Round The top nine move into round 3. The top9 of round one can go through to a winners round three where the top 6 qualify for quarters.
The top 3 teams of the losers round make it through to the quarters- with away games against the bottom three of the original round 1 top nine.
The top 3 teams of round one losers conference then play the bottom 3 of the winners round 1 (need to get the ratios correct for this...)
This would still allow the competition to expand and accommodate more teams. The backdoor loop for getting into the quarters will keep interest in the loser conference. ch other.
All teams should have an equal travel schedule. All overseas tours should be back to back games in SA or OZ before returning to Newzealand. etc.
This would give the best balance of strength vs strength and still expand the tournament.

With exception of 2 idiot kiwis above (cloudybrain and warpedud presumably both milking the welfare system in OZ like all their other cuzzy bros)
It seems pretty unanimous that current super rugby is boring as hell and realistically the idiots in charge need to read this forum...
I would have no issues with finals being made of entirely kiwi teams if they are top of ladder / log - their brand of rugby is by far the most progressive and if ARU and SARU are too stupid or politically divided to manage their own affairs then tough... get better...
Frankly I've barely watched a game this year and use to mad rugby fan (as mentioned by BB above too) - our (collective rugby supporters in OZ) numbers are withering and dying and soon will fade into insignificance - Im sure all the kiwis here must realise that by damaging the playing stocks any further is only going to be a negative influence longer term... I mean the kiwis outnumber the aussies @ our "home" bledisloe... doesnt this ring some alarm bells...?? Playing with yourselves also a common theme above... lol
Easy fix/s:1/ Get rid of Force ASAP (and any non-performing Saf teams)2/ Get rid of boring 2x derby games - eg this weekend only game worth watching is Tahs v Blues - who cares about reds v rebels....etc
