The Super Rugby season commences on 17 February and he round robin phase ends on 7 July 2019 - with the semi's and final to follow.
Am looking forward to the series - 57 days to go before the start. However, the training games start at the end o January and culminates for the first time ever in South Africa play in a pre-seasons game in Cape Town on 3 February 2019 when the games are as follows:-
* The Lions vs the Sharks
* The Stormers vs the Bulls
Unlike the normal pre-season games it is likely that these two games will be broadcasted live on TV.
The upcoming Super Rugby series will be very important to settle some selection which are still in doubt, especially with regard to Springbok selection is concerned.
* There are two locks which is bound to confirm their candidacy as locks - namely De Jager and Schickerlingl
* Whether Vermeulen will play well enough to confirm his Springbok selection.
* The uncertainty about the center selections
* The situation as to Wllemse - especially his future utilliztion.
