Looking at the Squads. I Think from NZ Crusaders, Canes, Cheifs look contenders too me. Canes and Saders have maintained most of their squad. And recruited well. BE interesting to see Damian at ten. Landers and Blues well be their abouts. Mid table.

Sharks I Think look a real contender this year. Curwin Boshe looks a good prospect at fullback. Deysel, Luc Du Preez, Keegan Daniel look a solid backrow. Front Row of Thomas Du Toit, The Beast, Chillyboy Rappelli looks good.

From OZ I Think the Tahs should be a contender. But i Think the winner well come from NZ.

Crusaders and Canes are the top contenders. Chiefs will struggle I think as they appear weaker this year than last and Cruden is a huge loss. If McKenzie brings the good at 10 they could have a sniff.

Forget the Aussies, it will be a repeat of 2017 for them.

Of the Saffas who knows, hopefully they will preform better but expecting more of the same and with a harder run to the finals now they have to play the Kiwi teams cant see any taking the title this year.

So to recap nothing will change, New Zealand to win everything, SA fans to rant endlessly why their teams are shit and the Aussie to fight over the wooden spoon.

Oh and a belated happy holidays to you all, been on holiday and for some reason I could not log on to this site from my smart phone. Something admin may want to look at as I had no trouble logging onto any other site.

Ralapele is useless ... always has been.

Much rather have Acker vd Merwe starting at 2 for the Sharks than that steroid abusing quota pick.

The Beast has been past his best for the last 3 seasons now. He should bow out gracefully. Du Toit is much better loosehead.

My money's on the Bulls this season ... from a South African perspective anyway.

I am not at all sure about what will happen this year.   The NZ teams normally try their best t knock their local competitors out.   On the other hand the Ausssie teams have not done well in the last two years and there are no indicators that they would be able to beat any competitors outside of their own conference.

Insofar as the SA Conference is concerned I m not sure which teams will be best this year.   The Bulls for years now had the players - but had to suffer with dud coaches like Ludeke and Marais.   There are indicators that they - with Mitchell as coach - will do better this year,   The Sharks are really showing similar signs.   The Lions have had two years where they were finalists and they cannot be excluded as contenders for the final part of the competition.  The Stormers may also be in the hunt.

The completion will be tough this year as the NZ and SA teams will compete against each in the round robin stages and we will have to see what happen.   It may well happen that the quarterfinals will be contested by 7 NZ and SA sides and 1 side from Australia.

Given we have not see any sides play a super rugby match as yet one really doesnt know where the sides are. Generally one gets a fair idea after about three matches. Thereafter its much about injuries and dubious decisions by the down under "Refs".

The kbbs of course are full of themselves as per usual and think nobody stands even the remotest of chances against the kiwi sides. What a bunch of chest beating blowhards. Take a look at their posts!!!      Reminds me of ou rooitwit after the shaks win a match. Hahahahahahhahahahhaha
