My predictions for this years Super Rugby competition.

Conference winners;

Australia: 1st Reds, 2nd Tah's (As much as I said Jake White was a hero last year, the Brumbies really did have an easy run)

New Zealand: 1st Blues, 2nd Crusaders (I know it sound crazy, but I have never seen a team underperform as they did last year. Chiefs won't be the same without SBW)

South Africa: 1st Sharks, 2nd Stormers (Yes I am a Bulls man, but their squad just seems to lack the firepower it once boasted)

Overall winner: Sharks

Interseting early prediction Bluebok.

Blues?? are you serious?? you must be Joking.......

Agreed Chiefs won't be the same without SBW, but don't write them off just yet.

Highlanders have made alot of noise about making the right noise....

I won't mention the South African conference, It will be close and don't throw away your team so quickly.

Will wait and see what happens after the first few games. i really have no info to base a decision on to be honest.

As a Sharks supporter I like your overall pick!

In Aus I think the Tahs might edge the Reds this year and I think Israel Folau will be a big hit. As for the Kiwis, I expect the Blues to be crap again. I reckon it'll be close between the Crusaders and the Chiefs. Hurricanes might surprise if they can get enough ball out to the likes of Savea and Taylor.

You might be right on Folau bieng a big hit. What position are the tahs going to play him in you know?

I'm guessing we'll see Folau on the wing. I know he was a League centre but most of these converts are best suited to wing or fullback when they switch to Union. SBW was the obvious exception.

Ek, I would not bet money on my predictions...unless it was for the Kings to end bottom :)

Watch the Blues this year people, you talk about the Cane's backline, the Blues are just as good.

Well, the Blues were nothing short of pathetic last year and if they do suddenly improve to the extent that they finish in the top 2 of the toughest conference then I'll be one of many calling for a major investigation.

i called it last year in a post that the blues will be the in my view with the great coaching staff that they have managed to assemble a big title winner...potentially. there coaches are nothing short of world class. i would not mind all 3 off them coaching the boks to be frank and honest.

as a sharks boy myself i really do rate our chances this year seeing the rule changes will really benefit the sharks pattern. its going to be a great rugby year ahead

From what i have read about Folau I think he might be suited to fullback. Maybe even 13. Or as you say wing.

but watch it, he is going to play loose forward :)
